The EXACT Strategy for TRIPLE-DIGIT Returns!

Tom Vorwald breaks down how professional traders hit triple-digit returns using math-based systems, not luck. The formula: strict risk management (1% per trade, max 20% drawdown), win-rate metrics, and matching your personality to one of three strategy types. Compounding and discipline turn the edge into wealth.

Achieving triple-digit returns and more in the capital markets. How is that even possible? And are they all charlatans, or does something like that truly work? And that's exactly what I'm getting to the bottom of today, showing you how you can achieve these returns and what methods, strategies, and skills you need to bring to the table to reach that goal. And no, this is not gambling. And no, these aren't just some random lucky trade setup results. No, this is reliable and consistent professional trading. But you have to know exactly how the Common Thread works for you and how it's mathematically possible for you to follow this path. So, I can tell you, this video is the most important video in all of trading to get started, to understand the math, and to see how it's possible for you to achieve such returns. Who am I? I'm Tom Vorwald, I'm the Trader Maker. Many people like Patrick Nell, Fabio Valentini, Andrea Simitan, and Christoph Radeker, all big names in trading, I've trained them. And if you want to discover exactly how to firmly and deeply establish your edge, then you definitely want to stay tuned for more.
If you've made the decision to become a professional trader, a trader who lives off their wealth accumulation, then you must achieve high returns. What do I mean by that? It's just not possible if you're a trader now who has, say, €100,000 on the side or €150,000 on the side to live off returns that are in the 10 to 15% range. No, for that you need high returns, and that is also absolutely possible. The only question is, how is it consistently possible for you to achieve such high returns? And that's exactly what I want to explain to you today, because one thing is clear: if you've chosen the profession of a trader for yourself, then you naturally need reproducible systems to make money in the markets over the long term. And we're going to look at these systems mathematically now to understand step by step how the whole thing really works for you. In trading, it is not about being right. It's about building up solid probabilities, and probabilities always arise whenever you have an edge, which essentially means a positive expected value for your strategy. And for that, you need concrete, reliable metrics, and those real metrics are your win rate and average risk-reward ratio. But now, many people find it quite challenging to move into implementation at the right moment. And that's because they're in an emotionally challenging and problematic state of mind. Because they execute various trading strategies where they simply don't have metrics they can truly trust over the long term. And then there's the additional fact that it's often handled without any discipline. Because you're simply not able to be emotionally free. That means you enter a trade, you have a specific target down here, the market runs down here, and you decide to exit the position prematurely right here. That's the big problem, that you then don't have consistent and reproducible statistical numbers because you never know if your trades will even run all the way to the end. Perhaps that is true in theory, but does it actually work that way in practice? And now comes the most crucial part, the risk management that you need to fully comprehend and master your trade. Let's first briefly look at risk management. And watch out, yes, for many this is boring at first, but I can promise you this is the be-all and end-all To really understand the professional trader's path, you must never have a strategy that has a drawdown of more than 20%. Why? This is because you should always calculate the size of your trading positions as a percentage of your overall wealth, whether that is in stocks, crypto markets, or even financial futures. That means if you have, for example, $100K in wealth or a prop trading account with $100,000 and you have a drawdown down of 20%, which is already really large. Usually consecutive trades that end up going south. I'll tell you more about that in a moment. Then you're left with only €80,000 in assets. What does it mean if you continue to risk 1% per trade, for example, because that's how you predefined it? Why? I'll get to that. You already need 25% just to get back to zero because 1% of €80,000 is €800 risk per trade and no longer €1,000 risk per trade. So it takes you longer. If you're someone, and unfortunately many are, who experiences higher drawdowns and you stick to that 1%, you'll need 66% to break even. And that's the first building block that's incredibly important for understanding the math. Let's take a look at the whole thing. If you take a wonderful calculator like this one here and you have a win rate of 50%, a risk-reward ratio of 1:1. That means your chance of winning is just as large as your risk ratio. And you do that over 100 trades. It's an absolutely realistic number to find 100 trades over several weeks and months. So, and now you take the 1% risk per trade. Well, what happens then? Your equity curve will gradually move downwards. Why? The fees and the probabilities are not in your favor. Let's move on to option 2. Take a look here. And here's the typical thing that many people like: high win rates, 75%, typical for breakout trades. But I've based this on 100 trades because it's quite challenging to find high-quality and clean breakout trades. You have to know exactly where to find them in the market, which markets are right now even accelerated so that I can trade breakouts, meaning they're moving into imbalance. And now we move on to how much risk per trade I can even take. I always base that on what the largest mathematical drawdown is. Now we see here, okay, the drawdown is around 7%. 7% is very, very low. That means I could theoretically take more risk per trade. But what is the most crucial part? The most crucial part is that you can theoretically, and this is calculated on €100,000 of capital, earn between €100,000 and €200,000. That all sounds really promising and effective at first, but it is actually not quite as easy as you might think to locate good breakout trades, and I'll show you why in just a moment. So we should keep in mind that's about $100,000. That you can potentially earn for yourself with this specific type of strategy. Let's move on to the second strategy. And here we take what we at Trades and Traders call intraday swing trading. That means you suddenly only have a win rate of 35%. Now, many people who don't understand the math will cry out and say, what a poor win rate. But if you apply this correctly from a mathematical standpoint, you'll have an average risk-reward ratio So, how far a trade runs once you've entered it is 4 times as large as your risk. That means your stop loss is, for example, 10 points, and your profit target is 40 points. Can you really hold out for that distance? To put it in another way, do you have the necessary skills and the deep patience to see it all the way through? And then, and this is a very, very important point with such a strategy, is the fact that you might have, say, 16 individual losses one after another before you see win. 16 losing trades in a row, very few people can actually handle that. But what is the truly decisive factor? The actual mathematical probability here is between €100,000 and €900,000 in potential profit. What you see here, yes, are more trades, but it is much more straightforward to find specific trading opportunities like these than it is, for example, when using a strategy that is clever and solid, or a strategically sound breakout strategy approach. Because that only works in 30% of market phases, and you still have to find the right one where there's enough room to reach your take profit. And that's why intraday swing trading is a total game changer. Mathematically, on average, you can reach $250K with a strategy like this, and the whole thing requires significantly less effort. Let's move on to the next strategy. Counter-trading, which means trading against the trend. And here too, you can already see that the drawdown is higher. But maybe you're someone who, for instance, likes to be right. That means you always like to go against the trend because you want to sell at the top or buy at the bottom. The win rate is lower, the risk-reward ratio is much larger, because when it runs, it really runs. If we're honest, it's usually in the range of 3 to 4, and it can be combined beautifully with intraday swing trading strategies. It's easier here too because you often find counter trades during balance phases, meaning in sideways phases where there are exaggerations, and those are found in 70% of markets, not 30%, like with the corresponding trend following breakout strategies. And here as well, as you can see, you can earn more than with win rates of 75% in breakout trading. But can you endure that? And here too, you might have 12 or 13 losses in a row. So these are the all-important key figures that you really need. And now the only question is, can you stand to let your winning streaks run? Because only then Will your risk-reward ratio tell you the truth? Essentially, this means that trading is about identifying the key figures, taking action at the right moment, applying it all with strict discipline, and fully understanding the mathematics behind it. And emotions and hope definitely must not have any room anymore. And if you stick to this plan, then you will consistently earn high returns. Consequently, it is absolutely essential and necessary not to trade just any random setups, but to know exactly which strategy with the highest probability can be found in the market right now. I promise you, I will introduce several different strategies in the upcoming videos on this YouTube channel. Countertrading is great to trade during phases of exaggeration. Trend following momentum trading, of course, in accelerated market phases. 70% During certain parts of the market phases, you simply cannot use this strategy, because in balance phases and in sideways phases, where the big capital is mostly active, you can definitely use such a strategic path for yourself. What this actually implies is that counter-trading is applied much more frequently than trend-following trading, even if other people like to tell various stories about it. Intraday swing trading makes sense in both market phases. You just have to understand when the market is in balance or not, when is the liquidity leaving, and that separates the wheat from the chaff for perfect trades. And with that, you can earn by far the most money. But the most important question always remains: do you even know which strategy really fits your personality and your psyche? And for that, we have worked out and built something, and that is the absolute game changer for many traders. You have to look at what kind of personality you have. We have divided this into 4 different personalities, and based on your personality, your logic, how you approach the markets, you are patient, you are assertive, you are impatient, you are someone who likes to go against the trend, you are someone who likes to swim with the crowd, You have to look very closely at which role is assigned to you in the institutional sector, because that is how it is done there. There, they examine very carefully which trader is capable of utilizing which strategies for themselves. And then you develop and establish a primary competitive edge. That means an individual strategy that fits your personal trading style perfectly. And then we carefully analyze and examine which market phases, which markets, and which structures are absolutely decisive and critical for your long-term results. So you see, it is definitely a highly achievable and doable process for you to master. And if you can then harness the power of compound interest, because you're building up capital and don't need it all for trading right away, you can achieve financial returns far beyond anything you've ever imagined with these exact opportunities. You need discipline, a strategy that is consistently reproducible, and the specific skills to apply it at exactly the right moment. So stop trying to do too much at once. Instead, remember that less is more. Take the time to learn which strategy feels right for you, and then you'll have a real game changer, and you'll achieve significantly higher investment returns. This happens almost automatically, provided you are disciplined. I'm glad I could show you this video. And if you really think it through and don't just say, I'm looking for the 1,000th setup again, Then the light will dawn on you and you'll be able to generate money sustainably and consistently.
