A trader walks through the pre-market routine: review last week's economic events and this week's calendar, identify key price levels and bias on the ES, then define which setups to watch. Start every session with a clear game plan.

In trading, there's a few things that are not negotiables for us. Before you go into any session, you want to have a game plan that approaches that particular session. So for example, let's say tomorrow is Monday. I am watching ES. I'm looking at all the economic events that possibly have moved the market last week and are moving the market. So it's like last week and this week. And the reason I say last week is because I want to have this foundation of what moved the markets, what is the sentiment of the market, and what is happening this week. Then it's a game plan of like the setups and trades. So for example, what is it you're watching with ES? These are my levels. This is maybe my bias. The S&P 500. If we break this level, this is the trade I'm looking for. This is like my key inflection points. You make that whole pre-market game plan.
