This is a short YouTube monologue by Kardec Trader (uploaded April 21, 2023) arguing that there is nothing wrong with working a 9-to-5 job. The speaker counters social-media narratives that stigmatize typical employment, emphasizes personal ideology and happiness as the correct metric, and contrasts steady 9-to-5 work with burnout-prone hustling (long hours) that may not pay off.

People started, like, on nine to fives when I was 19, 20, I did the same thing. I was like, I would never want to work for anyone. No, we have to kind of be conscious of that, because I don't think there's anything wrong with 9 to 5. I don't think there's anything wrong, quote, unquote, working for someone. I think everyone has their own ideology of what they want. Some people are comfortable with that, some people aren't. If you enjoy 9 to 5, there's nothing wrong with that. And I just want to kind of be the person to put that out there, because I think social media has been talking about 9 to 5 so much. I'm like, yo. Like, there's nothing wrong with that. There's people that have nine to fives that make tons of money and have a very great life. And their ideology of life is a lot different than people wanting to work 15, 20 hours a day, burn themselves out for something that may or may not work. So if you are in a 9 to 5 and you're happy in your situation, more life to you. If you're not, that's a different case.
