I don't think retail traders starting out should have leverage at all. Retail traders should go through a two year period of trading, trading the markets, keeping risk consistent, showing discipline, showing up every day, have a proven edge. And I think then they should have access to leverage. The biggest problem retail traders have is they come come into the markets a month later, they are leveraging their accounts 2x, 3x 4x, so their losses are way bigger than they should be able to take. So that lever ultimately blows up their accounts. As a beginner trader, you should not use leverage. Yes, companies will give you access to leverage. Don't touch it, don't look at it, look away. And until you have a proven system for six months, eight months, I don't think you should touch any sort of leverage at all.
