The change was motivated by uncertainty when observing candle closes (e.g., a 30-minute candle that flips in the last minutes) and the desire to see the underlying order activity that drives price moves.

Early on, I used to trade strictly of candles, but my question used to be like, okay, if I'm looking at a 30 minute candle the first 29 minutes, it could be going down the last two minutes. You can see a move up, the candle closes green. How do you know it's a strong move? So for me, it was like looking at order flow or looking at how the orders came in the market. Where are the aggressive orders sitting? How aggressive was the volume at certain levels? Are buyers being more aggressive here, more passive here and things like that. And for me, that was like a big game changer.
