Chasing high risk-reward ratios like 1:4 on consistency accounts backfires: you get too many small losses between big wins, and your equity curve stalls before hitting the 20 R target. Use 1:1 or 1.5:1 ratios instead, aim for 5 R, and you'll pass evaluations faster.

If you win too much, then you have to win even more and more and more, and your chance of getting that payout decreases. With a 1:4 on a consistency account, you should never do that. The reason why is in order to pass, if it's 20% consistency, then you need 20 RR. Realistically, you're gonna win 4, lose 1, 2, 3, win 4, lose 1, 2, 3. Like, you're gonna have positive equity curve if your strategy's good, but it'll take you absolutely forever to reach 20. That is the reason why I prioritize lower risk to reward of like a 1:1 or a 1.5, because I'm getting to the goal much faster. Because the goal here, if I'm doing 1:1, is only to hit 5R. And with a 1:1, still going to oscillate and it's going to take a little bit of time, but significantly faster than getting all the way up to here. The win rate definitely is higher the lower your profit target is, and the higher your win rate, the faster you're going to pass evaluations and get towards payouts.
