A trader explains why they exit positions within 15 minutes during the New York session. Holding longer risks mental capital: repeated losses and prolonged trades erode confidence and force you to abandon a model that isn't working.
I don't like spend too much time on the trade. I know London session is kind of slow price session, so you will probably have to spend more time on it. But for New York session, I usually end the trade within 15 minutes. So, and I don't aim for 100 points, 200 points. If price just work like that, it's fine. But like, this is not my main target. Just want price to get into my target and I can get out. This one is actually making me feel better because if I hurt my mental capital once or twice, it's not helping me at all. Okay. I don't feel good about keep on trading the same model. So you definitely need to adjust
