World champion LIVE Trading: #1 Indicator for volatile markets!

Thomas Forward demonstrates the PBD Methodic volatility tool on a live short trade that opened with a 1R loss then closed 4R profit. He shows how to read pre-session data and volume imbalance to set entries and stops, then breaks the same setup into three trading approaches for different risk tolerances.

The perfect indicator for volatility markets. You can use it now because the volatility is growing up and you have to understand what kind of indicator is working for you. I teach a lot of people the PBD Methodic and they use it all the time because they understand the knowledge behind. And today you are the next. You will get a lot of good stuff from my side how you can use this number one indicator for yourself. And who I am? I'm Thomas Forward, I'm the Champions Maker. I teach people like Patrick Nöll, 2 times World Cup Championships of trading leader. I teach people like Christoph Reidecker. All these guys are very, very good traders, and you have to trust in me that this what I explain you today is very good for you. And let me hear if you like it.
Yes, today I'd like to introduce a trade to you, short and sweet, where you can simply get a feel for how it's possible for you with the PBD logic, with the simplest of tools, a A) To understand exaggerations, because gaps are always exciting. And B) How can you do route planning that really makes sense? And that's exactly what I'm showing you today. I'll show you how it can also be possible for you to think through the markets more deeply, and with which approaches you can simply put such trades into practice for yourself. It's much less about the profit, it's much more about how I set the whole thing up strategically. And I'll take you along now, step by step, and give you a few thought-provoking ideas outside the box. And I'd be very happy if you'd leave me a like if you enjoy the whole thing. Let's get started. You might need to know that we implemented this trade together in a live session with us, with all our participants from our mentoring program, and I explained there in great detail what the situation was. I'd also like to give you a small impression. The first thing was, this here was roughly the previous day's high, and we were above of that. That means the market was completely outside of the previous day's range. These here were the volumes from the previous day, and up here it was very, very thin at first, nothing going on, and then more and more volume built up here at the top. And you can clearly say and see, if you've read the dynamic concept, that there were simply many more sales than purchases up there. And now comes a decisive factor. When the market started at the opening of trading, that was here. That means there was an immediate impulse, and then there was a little, let's call it lethargy. But this lethargy was characterized by large sales volumes, and that prompted me to plan a short trade there. But now it continues, and it's much more important to know where I can actually plan a target for such a trade. And you have to know, this here was the value area from the day before. That means the market was in balance here on the previous day. And then for me, it's always like this. I say the probability that the market returns to balance, especially if there's no fundamental sustainable story for this gap, prompted me to enter exactly this short trade. And I'd like to dissect that a bit with you now. How you could manage this trade. So here you can already see how the trade has run a bit. That means it established a beautiful box for me up here. Within this box, more was sold, and now we come to the decisive part. This is the proof that the market has sold off. Second point, which is very important to me here: the market has already looked below the opening trade price, and now comes the logical consequence. First, yes, there are indeed more sellers present in the market. Second, what this does is it provides me with clear proof that all of the buyers who entered during the pre-session, those participants who came in before the official market opening, then immediately jumped right into the market at the cash open without any hesitation, they have already been traded below. This means many of them now face a challenge as they realize their long-term positions will not hold up sustainably. But now comes what is actually the most exciting part. Look, if the market had such a zone and has already provided me with proof that weakness can occur, then I have a great combination. And that means at this point, at the latest, it is by far the best spot for people who like to enter the market on a pullback. And then, you know, there were strong sellers here. This means your stop loss is definitely in a great position here, because if the market were to go above that, there is a high high probability that other market participants will be pushed out, and an upward impulse is created, that is always the other side, the flip side of the coin. In this case, however, it turned out exactly as we had hoped. The market provided an opportunity for a pullback here and started selling off again. And now the wheat is quickly separated from the chaff, because it usually takes time for the market to really get going in such a counter-trade. And as you can see here, I then examined the market and I saw, okay, that was the first balance, the first range in the pre-session, and here the market has already bought in quite nicely, and then it went up here and pushed towards the open. That is why I said I would rather set my take profit a few points away from this range, because often it is exactly the case that such levels that everyone sees— remember, this was the value area— are not hit at first. And now let us take a a look at how the whole thing continued. Here you can see quite clearly the market has our selling zone downwards here accepted. Remember, here was the proof that the buyers from the open have an issue for now. Here was the proof that real selling was present. And always remember what is the story behind it. The story is the probability of a gap close is there. The exaggeration has no fundamental origin that is sustainable. And so it was possible to carry out exactly this trade down to here, and then to simply live off the great risk-reward ratio that we could build with this. Risk, reward. And I had already been stopped out in the pre-session when I was a bit too early, losing 1R. But as you can see here, you simply won 4R, and so it is all cool. And it doesn't always have to work directly on the first trade, because especially in the phases where the market starts at the opening, it is often the case that a lot of games take place there. And now comes the second story, and I find that incredibly important for the people who love the PBD logic. Here we had a wonderful B where we already had proof that the sellers were pushed hard, and this B led to you being able to take this trade for yourself again. And now the question is, yes, but the risk risk-reward ratio was much worse there. No, it is not, because now you had the possibility to trail your stop loss really tightly. And so if you are a dynamic trader, you would have had the third possibility to book a trade: stop loss, profit run. And here was the counter trade after the proof. The first trade we booked here was really risky, and that is exactly what is so important to distinguish. This philosophy is a counter-trading philosophy via pullback entry. This philosophy is a momentum strategy for the people who love the trend continuation. And so you have first philosophy up here, high risk. Second philosophy, pullback. Third philosophy, momentum trader. And there you can see, depending on which avatar you bring, many roads lead to Rome. And everyone can evaluate for themselves which trading style they prefer. The most important of all is always to be able to use risk management very cleverly for yourself. And the best thing is, of course, if you can trade all three variants. I hope you enjoyed that. I hope it gave you some sense of purpose to look at this trade again in hindsight. And yes, it was a pleasure for me to present this to you again. And feel free to leave a like if you enjoyed this, and I'll say see you very soon. All the very best, love from Tom.
