Katie McManus, an ADHD business coach, talks about staying accountable when you work for yourself and have ADHD. She shares how motivation struggles hit different when there's no boss watching, and how her clients and team help keep her on track.
How do I hold myself accountable as an ADHD business coach? I'll be super honest here. It's really hard. I go through phases where I'm really passionate about one thing and then all of a sudden one day I've just lost all of my mojo for it. This happens with social media, my newsletters, that book I started writing and gave up on. The thing that keeps me going when I get stuck are texts from clients telling me that they signed their first $10,000 client or that they hit $150,000 a year only working 8 to 12 hours a week on their business. I try to remember every day that the work I do allows these incredible humans to leave corporate jobs that they hate and make a good living doing work that they love. My accountability is knowing that there are so many more people out there that I haven't gotten a chance to help yet. So I keep showing up for them. And also my team harasses me to get stuff done when I'm behind. They're really the best and incredibly patient with me. Like and follow for more videos like this.
