Brave Biz Labs Afterhours 2024 06 26

Transcript of an after-hours coaching conversation (mid-2024) between Katie McManus and a client about interview data, messaging, and marketing strategy for a coaching business serving women in STEM/space. Katie advises on extracting specific client stories and sensory details from interviews, crafting outcome-focused copy, running pop-up trainings/webinars as lead magnets, re-engaging warm leads for a price increase, and positioning feminine communication and public speaking as marketable offers.
Hello.
Hi. How are you?
How are you?
I'm good. I am.
I was.
I just got my nails done. They're very pretty in pink. And then I was just gonna go on a hike, but it's like storming out. Oh, we're frozen.
Yeah. Let me see.
Okay. I turned my video off. Can you hear me now?
Yeah, I can hear you now. Okay. Yeah, I could hear you.
Okay. Yeah. And then I was gonna go on a hike, but it's like downpouring, so I'm at a random restaurant just sort of like eating some food and sitting it out.
Okay, cool. Awesome. Well, Happy Wednesday.
Happy Wednesday. I think this might be my first after hours.
Yeah, this is actually kind of a new thing. I have a client who's in Australia and, you know, I feel bad that there's so much stuff she can't make because of the time difference.
Yeah.
To the schedule. So people are still learning to come to it. So you might have some. A lot of one on one with me. So.
Right.
What questions do you have?
I mean, if it's just you and I can start. Look, we could look at like my interviews data.
Yeah, absolutely.
And just get your thoughts on it. Okay.
Yeah.
And I'm gonna stay camera off because obviously my.
Totally fine.
Yeah.
If you want to actually send me the. Oh, okay, perfect.
Yeah, I can do that. Yeah.
Because that way if it won't slow down on your side, hopefully.
What is it?
Katie@KatieMcManis.com.
Oh, I have the same one for my name. Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay. So I just. I'm at like 29 now. I'm about to get to 30.
That's phenomenal.
I might have even gotten to 30. Yeah. Honestly, I'm sort of feeling like it's kind of enough. But there's. I still have a bunch scheduled, so I'll do them all. But I don't know. I don't know that I need to get to 50. What do you think?
Well, so here's the thing. Like, the more people you talk to, the more potential clients you talk to, Right?
Yeah, totally.
Yeah.
So I see. Can I. Can I like, show you an overview first? So basically those are just some of the things from the about me part. This is part of their challenges. Just, I just think it's keywords and sentences.
What was that?
I just did some keywords and sentences.
Cool.
And then if you want. And then I bolded the stuff that seems, like, interesting to me. And then if you want to keep scrolling, I wrote like biggest fears, what they want, their impact to be how they describe themselves. And then, like, for the ones who gave. Yeah. What they want in a program. I'll go through that too. If you keep. And then just keep going. There's a couple, like, descriptions of, like, how they describe me. And then at the very end, I just started, like, doing. If you keep going, you can also feel free to look at all this. But. Yeah, so potential phrases. So these are sort of like the potential, like, problem phrases, like the ones that I like, like the best so far, and then sort of some, like, clarifying substances that could work. And so. Yeah, so I would say you can look at whatever you want on here and give me feedback. But, yeah, that's sort of what I'm looking at as of now. Yeah. Let me see it.
No, this is looking really good. So for each of these things, you kind of want to pinpoint, like, what's a story you can tell, you know, so, like, what's the story you can tell about a hypothetical client who has always had to make up their own path?
Right. Think about their work with me and how it's changed them.
Not necessarily even, like, so oftentimes, like, especially my coach clients, you know, it's easy to think that you have to showcase exactly how you work with your clients. It actually doesn't.
Yeah.
What we want showcases where they are before they even figure out that you exist.
Yeah, yeah.
Especially, like, in the coaching space. Especially in the sciences. You know, it's something that, you know, there are going to be some people who still don't know what this is. Right. So it's. So the copywriting terminology is, like, sophistication of your market.
Right.
Sophisticated, like, mean. Like, you know, they drink tea with their. Their pinkies up. It means, like, how informed are they about their own problems and that there's a solution for their problems and that you could be the solution for that problem.
Yeah, yeah.
So, like, if you have a flat tire, like, you know, you need to get the tire fixed or you need a new tire, and, you know, there's the tire guy or the mechanic that you can go to. Right. So we have to figure out, like, I. I don't think your clients are going to be that sophisticated that they're going to have, like, a go to. Oh, I need to go to a coach who specializes in what I do. So you have to really acknowledge, like, where they are before they realize they even have a flat tire.
Yeah.
And then teach them about tires.
Yeah.
You know, like, empathize with. Oh, my God, I know you feel so stuck right now because it's not doing the thing you want it to do. Yeah.
Know.
And. And then point to, like, how good it feels to be driving down the road when, you know, you have tires at work.
So. So, like, just if I was out action item, it would be like, who are they before they meet me? And then. And then you said, like, her. What's it like after they get tired of work?
Yeah. Yeah. So we want to always zoom in on what the symptoms are that they're facing right now that they're dealing with, that they're complaining about, that they're exhausted with, and then zoom in on what is the outcome that they have pictured in their minds. And it doesn't necessarily have to be the outcome that your clients typically want or typically end up with. It has to be the outcome they think that they want right now.
Yeah.
So, like, I mean, I will say.
With a lot of. Yeah, go ahead.
I know. I was going to say if they want to burn the building down, like, that's what you talk about them wanting.
Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Got it. Yeah. I feel like, honestly, when I first start working with people, I feel like we're, like, working on a. A lot of times, like, working on them. Being able to name and feel their emotions for, like, the first, like, two months. It's just that, you know, they're like, why do I keep feeling so anxious? And why do I, you know, whatever. Have all these. Yeah. Like stage fright or, you know, being in toxic work environments. Yeah.
That's the shit I want you writing about. That's the stuff I want.
You got it? Yeah, got it. Okay. Yeah, that makes sense.
You're not there yet, but, like, this kind of stuff, the stuff about what you're gonna use in your website, like, once we have a verified market fit.
Yeah.
You know, the zone of genius stuff. This is all the stuff you can utilize in your. In your content.
Yeah.
You know.
Yeah.
What else? Yeah. So this is. This is actually really interesting. The. What they want in a program.
Yeah.
Is this all from people who've never worked with a coach before, or is it some people who've worked with the coach?
Yeah, it's mostly people who haven't worked with a coach. Have not. And there's a big, like, dei. More women in space narrative.
Yeah.
Which is why that's a lot. I would say that there's a lot of that.
Yeah, Cool.
That feedback.
Yeah. I mean, all of this is amazing. Like, this is the support they're literally asking for right now. This is the kind of stuff, like normally people don't get this. This good of a qu. An answer.
Yeah.
This question. It's usually kind of a throwaway question, but I keep it in because occasionally people have a really clear idea of what they want support with. Like, each one of these, honestly, could be a post. Like, each line. Each line of this could be a post. 100%.
Okay, I need to write that down. Okay.
And how I would do it is like, you know, you can say most of my clients work with me because they want a program that, that caters to them as an individual. And here's that up until now, you.
Know, here's what, what.
Here's what they've had up until now. Here's the support they've had up until now. You know, like, maybe there's like a cut and paste, like, format that is used at work that everyone kind of gets taken through, or maybe like their boss will occasionally throw them a personal development book, you know, or maybe like, there's leadership development at work, but it's like, it's so basic and it doesn't address anything. And of course, I'm making this up. I'm sure, you know, from your research, what they've gotten so far.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah. So here's what they want. Here's what they've gotten so far that has not hit the mark for them and hasn't helped them at all. And here's what they, like, feel they're really falling flat on that. They think working with a coach or someone who can really create an individualized program for them can help them progress to. And of course, I said that in very, like, you know, formatty language. You want to use language that your clients would use when they're a couple glasses of wine in.
I love that. Yeah. Which is probably already kind of how I talk. Yeah. So that's good.
No, you're. You're a beautiful writer. So I'm not worried about that. Yeah. And then, like, these words, you don't, you don't want to dump them all into one post, but, you know, if you can take three of them at a time and say, a lot of my clients are. Are super passionate, connection focused and goal oriented. And here's how it shows up as a superpower in their work. And here's. And here's how they're not being appreciated right now for those things. Right. And then you go into, you know, how. How does a woman who is very connection focused and goal oriented and passionate. How does that. How do those things Actually get rejected by a very masculine workplace, you know, because we want to really bring in that, like, that idea of like, feminine vitality and feminine power.
Yeah.
You help them, like, not change who they are, but amplify it in a way that gets the right response.
Totally. That's good.
But literally, like, you can go through and grab like three at a time, you know, and that can be a who I work with kind of post. And then of course, I don't work with is. Yeah, 100 another kind of post as well.
Yeah, yeah.
What else?
Would you mind if I joined on my phone as well? Just because my. My wi fi is spotty. Go for it. Okay. And then I can actually turn my camera back on too, so I don't need to hear you.
Okay, cool.
Okay. Can you hear me? Yeah. Okay. How about now?
Yeah, can you hear me?
Yes, this is good. Okay. Okay. Okay, so.
Okay, so desires. Okay, so with the desires, we really want to zoom it into what's an example of these things.
Yeah.
Right. So.
Yeah.
Want to chase after the things in life that call to you.
Right.
So what's the thing calling to them? Like, be really specific because it really doesn't matter. So, like, I'm sure you've read, you've read like romance novels, right? Right. So like, when we're reading a romance novel, it doesn't matter if the person the. The main character falling in love with is exactly our type. Like, we kind of fall in love with them too. Right? We. We recognize that main character when we're writing content, we're doing like a little zoom in of like a main character and what they want. We have to get really specific about what that thing is. Right. And then like, we'll, like, your ideal clients will see themselves in that. It might not be like, maybe one of them is. Is called to run a marathon. You know, not everyone's going to feel that way, but maybe someone else is like, called to get into rowing or to get into pottery. And like, they just don't have the time to carve out from their work to be able to devote to reaching that goal.
Yeah.
You know.
So, like, is this specific enough or no?
Okay, so anytime there's a word fulfilled, it's not specific enough.
Okay, great. What'd you say?
Like, what is fulfilled for them? You know, what does that mean for them? What is. What does life actually look like? Okay, you know, so for instance, like, the term, like, I want to be confident, confidence comes in a lot of different shapes and sizes. Like, for some people, confidence is I want to be able to fit into my skinny jeans and walk into a room knowing my ass looks amazing. Right. Others confidence is. I want to be able to stand up in front of a group of 200 people and speak without stuttering. Right. We want to get really specific.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
If you can go back to the interviews, if you have notes about what those things mean to them.
Yeah.
And that'll help you. You can just use it verbatim from what they said.
Yeah. So could it be like you want to take vacations? You want to.
But like, what kinds of vacations?
Most of them are like adventurers. Yeah.
Okay, cool. So they. And what's keeping them from getting, getting on vacation right now or going overworking? They're overworking. So they don't, they don't have enough time. When they do take some time off, they're probably checking their email still. So they're not able to go to like Machu Picchu and be completely off the grid.
Yeah.
Right, so. So we want to get to those specifics.
Yeah.
Right.
Okay. So like literally, like you want.
You.
Like you can't get away from work.
Yeah. Like you've taken, you've taken a week off and you still had to answer emails, you know?
Yeah. How?
Oh, gosh. There's a trip up in God, just like northern part of Canada with the white whales. What are they called?
Oh, I don't know.
You know, they have like the big foreheads.
Big humpback.
No, not humpbacks.
They're little.
Like people drop their phones in the water and they bring them back. They're really playing. Well, crap. No, I mean, this is gonna drive me nuts. What is the name? So, but anyway, it's like a week long trip if someone's really adventurous. What's the name of the town?
Like British Columbia?
No, I mean it's, it's a, it's a very, very like off the beaten trail crap with prominent forehead, beluga whale. Here it is. Yeah. So it's like $8,500. You're there for a week. You're completely off the grid. There's no WI fi, nothing. But like you get to go and have this incredible experience, you know. But like also the idea. What is it? It's Churchill. Churchill. But the thing that you want to get into is like, what's the thing that's keeping them from doing that right now they can't leave work. Like, what if they have a big project that is coming around them? Like, do they want to actually like, pay for the trip and then maybe not be able to go. Right?
Yeah, yeah, totally.
So.
Okay, I'm noting that down. So it's like you can't get. It's like. I mean, I had one. I don't know if I put it in or is it. Yeah, I mean, one of them, she was literally like. Like, she's like, I can't stop working. I'm not sleeping well most nights. And I. And I even dream about work. Like, I cannot turn off from work. Yeah.
Okay.
That's a pretty specific one. Yeah.
So here's. Here's how you talk about that. Is you're in the dream or you're in the dream. Like, things are going wrong at work. You keep getting these. These emails asking for a report. You don't know what report it is, whatever. And then you wake up in a cold sweat and you're like, oh, my God, like, it took me, what, two hours to fall asleep? It's an hour later. I've just had a stupid dream about work. I'm all amped up. My heart is racing. I have to be up in five hours to get to work again. Right.
Yeah.
Really want to show. Don't tell.
Yeah, Right.
Don't show that someone's stressed out. I'm sorry. Don't tell someone that. That the person you're talking about is stressed out. Show them.
Yeah.
You know?
Yeah. Okay.
And then the fact that you're only working with women, like, you know that feeling when you wake up from, like, a nightmare and, like, you can feel the boob sweat?
You're like, yeah.
And then you're like. Then your shirt's kind of damp and you're like, do I change my shirt? I don't know.
Yeah. Yeah.
You know, you can totally zoom in on that. That level of detail.
Running that down.
Yeah. Like, boob sweat. Specific.
There was a really common fear around, like, not, like, being stagnant and, like, not being able to accomplish what they think what, like, they feel they can accomplish.
Yeah. So, yeah, you want to. You want to talk about exactly what that is? What is it that they can accomplish? And, like, how do they feel stuck right now?
Yeah.
What does it feel like to be stuck? And, like, what does it do to them? You know, when they're relaxing, when they're dreaming, when they're hanging out with friends and they're hearing what their friends are accomplishing at work? You know, when they read an article about another scientist who's close to their age, they're like, holy, like, I'm behind you. Know, and of course, like, they want to support other women, but they can't help but be jealous that they've gotten that far. Right.
I'm noting this all down. It's really good.
Yeah. There's. For this one.
Yeah.
Like a Mr. Feeney gift, you know?
Who is that?
Matthews? You have such potential, you know.
I don't know. I don't know who that is.
Mr. Mr. Feeny from Boy Meets World.
Oh, my God.
No. You didn't watch Boy Meets World as a kid?
I was never that into it.
Okay. Yeah, I think. I think your. Your ideal clients will know who that is. But I could be wrong.
That's funny. I recognize him.
Yeah.
Okay, great.
Okay. I mean, the cool thing about this is that it's very apparent that your ideal clients are pretty self aware.
Yeah.
You know, and. And like, I love how you've summarized it. And we want to bring it into like that nitty gritty detail.
Okay. Yeah, I might need to get more specific. Thank you. So it sounds like I might need to get more specific with them, actually. If I don't have that details, I don't know if I have the details in the interviews or not, honestly.
Yeah, so. So in the next 20 interviews you're doing, you're getting really specific details, right?
Yeah.
Can you give me an example of what that is?
Yeah.
Right. And then you're not going to use that example verbatim because you don't want anyone to be like, oh, my God, she's talking about me. But you can change the details and anonymize it kind of totally, you know, but yeah, that'd be. That would be really, really helpful for your content.
Yeah, that's good. All right. Anything else over next step. Sounds like I should just keep doing what I'm doing.
Keep doing what you're doing.
Get more specifics in the interviews. Like, keep compiling them in the. Keep compiling them for like, for like the 5 to 10 sort of like main sentences and then maybe that's where I'll end up. Starting with like the storytelling too.
Yeah.
Yep. Okay, cool. Okay, good.
Yeah. What else you got?
I think this is honestly it. I mean, I guess. No, I don't know. I don't feel like I have anything because we. We're meeting on Friday too, aren't we?
Yeah. So Brave Biz Lab, this Friday is the public one, so there's going to be a lot more people on it. So any questions you have, you want to ask them here, you know, I'm here, so.
Okay. I don't know, I think I kind of already know this all but, but I am just thinking about like I'm ready to sign a few more clients and, and do it at my new rates. And so I'm just like considering the next steps for that. And like I'm feeling like I should like reach out to sort of like low hanging fruit. Like people who were like a yes and then they like disappeared or like. Yeah. Or like the people that were like a maybe and then they were like, you know, talk in a few months or like I'm feeling like I should talk to like the low hanging fruit about it. So.
Yeah, so here's, here's what you can do is you can reach out to them and say hey, just so you know, I, I wanted to reach out to you again because I know you were interested in coaching previously for X, Y and Z. Reason I know this probably just you got busy but wanted to give you the heads up that I have a rate increase coming. Yeah, you know, that's a good idea. When we talked like I'm, I'm happy to honor a portion of it if you're, if you're interested or I'm happy if you sign up by a certain time, you know, back on the phone and see if this is the right.
Time for you to do this. Okay, that's a good idea. The only thing is that yeah, money in the door is good and there's also a part of me that's like not even entirely comfortable with my previous rate them anymore. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you have any thoughts about that there?
Yeah. So there are a bunch of ways you can re engage them. I mean, what is, what was the common like problem that they were all hoping coaching would solve?
I mean I had one really self aware male that was like he wanted to get more in touch with like his intuition. He basically wanted to get more in touch with his feminine side. I had someone else like it just other people, I would say that it's like they just want to have like stronger voices and stronger leadership in the space sector. Yeah, yeah. And then one other thing. Okay, this is slightly random but as for the bonuses. Oh, maybe I should go over that with you also. The bonuses.
Yeah.
One of the bonuses I'm considering as my higher levels is like not like full access to my network but like within reason. You know, if I'm like, oh, you should connect with this person. I'll connect them with that person. Yeah, yeah. Because I have a really big network in the space sector.
Yeah, 100%. I mean, I think that 100% marketable. Yeah, no, I think that's fabulous. So, okay, so what I'm looking for is like the pain reliever or the antibiotic for a problem. Right. So like what is the thing that needs a pain reliever or an antibiotic? Getting in touch with your intuition is more of a vitamin.
Yeah. Okay.
It's more of like, oh, you have a vitamin deficiency. You should probably take this vitamin. You're not going to die without it though.
Yeah.
So what I'm thinking is you do some kind of like pop up training, you know, small group pop up training. We're talking about this topic and here are the five things you can do to get better at it. Something like that, where it's very experiential. You're really doing like group coaching with them and kind of introducing like here's one thing that you're probably doing right now that's actually getting in your way.
Yeah.
And the second thing is something that most people don't spend, spend time on and I bet like who here spends time on this thing? No. And the third thing is here's something you're going to do right now that's going to make a major difference in your life. And then you talk about, by the way, if any of you are really struggling with your career, if you're struggling with this, this, this and this. I do have a few spots available in my one on one coaching. If you're curious about that. Here's a link to a link to book a sales call with me. Get right back into the last two points.
Right, sorry, what was the last point?
And then you get back into the last two points, the fourth and the fifth thing. Okay, but we want it to be around one topic, around one problem that they're all facing.
I mean I basically have like the bear. I have like a whole, I think I told you this, but a whole like structure of public speaking course that I created. Yeah, public speaking, yeah.
But we don't want to give it away. We want you to talk about what is important for them to do, not how to do it.
Yeah, right. Yeah.
So it's important for you to manage your nerves, not how you manage your nerves. You know, before you know how to manage your nerves. Here's what it's like to get on stage. You know, your palms are sweating, your throat is dry, you immediately have to pee even though you just peed by.
Yeah.
And here's what you're actually communicating to the audience is like you, even though you think you are faking it. Like you are coming across as like a less confident version of you. You're coming across as like the diluted version of you because you're trying to be someone you're not, versus when you lean into your feminine power and you understand how your energetic, your energy can have an impact on the space and you let that do a lot of the work for you, then here's what's communicated and here's how you'll feel up on stage and here's how you'll feel when you finished your talk. And here's what, what's the feedback is likely to be from the people who watch you, you know, and then you can tell a story about your own experience with this, right?
Yeah.
And then you can say, you know, if any of you are really struggling to speak publicly, then, you know, here are the three things that you want to work on that'll help you get there. And then you go into, here's like the high level, what it is. And then you said, and then if you're, if you're really serious about becoming a better public speaker, if you want to really step into leadership and take your career to that next level in the space industry or in, in stem, then book a, book a strategy. Call with me. Here's the link. Right?
Yeah. Yeah. I do think, I think communication in general is like, is kind of my superpower. So I think I could do like either public speaking or I could even do like a feminine communication sort of workshop or. Because that's also sometimes where I started. Like, it's like if I. When women feel their feelings and they let themselves feel what they are feeling as they speak speak, that's how they become like a magnetic and compelling communicator. And it's actually super easy.
That's your promotional post. That's your promotional post about it. Yeah. Because if a lot of your clients are having a hard time even accessing their feelings and that makes sense. And you can even say, a lot of my clients have a really hard time accessing their feelings. And that's what we end up working on, you know, for the first couple months of working together.
Yeah.
You know, and it's understandable. And you completely say, hey, listen, like you had to go through a super male dominated training program, school, this, that the other thing, like your emotions have been made wrong more times than you could even count. You know, you've been told to like just know, shove it all down, stay quiet, don't talk about it for so long. Of course you're having a hard time accessing it. Right. You, you've never wanted to be the emotional one in the room. Right. When actually like that is the thing that is going to let you stick out from the crowd in the best way as leadership material, as someone is meant to lead teams, as someone who's meant to lead projects. Right. We want to point that they think is wrong with them and, and really shine a light on actually, that's your key to success.
Yeah, totally.
But you've spent how many years trying to hide it?
Yeah.
It's totally normal that you're going to have a hard time accessing it in a way that feels really grounded and empowering for you. And that's what I do with clients.
Yeah, right, yeah, totally.
Okay, so logistics for doing something like this. All right, so you're going to set up a group call in acuity, a group appointment type for this training. You're going to set up the reminder emails to have the zoom link for it. Okay. So I'm.
If I look dead face, it's because I'm typing furiously.
You're good, you're good. And this recording will be saved somewhere in resources, I think. Anyway, you're going to say that and then you're going to. Okay, so you're going to have them register through acuity, the reminder emails are going to send them the zoom link. Anyone whose email you already have. Like, as you lead up to it, they're just going to get the zoom link to join. They don't have to register for it because you already have their email. They're technically already on your list.
Yeah.
Right, so you want to send an email. So like right before you want to send an email, 24 hours, 12 hours, 1 hour and 10 minutes before it starts to anyone whose email address you have, you're sharing the link to register with everyone under the sun.
Yeah.
You're going to email people several weeks beforehand or a couple weeks beforehand saying, hey, I'm actually hosting this pop up training. I thought of you. Here's the link to register. Would love to have you there. I hope this is going to be useful for you.
Yeah. And just, oh my gosh, it's like a coming out party for me. It's so edgy.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And here's the thing to remember about your first like pop up future pop up trainings or webinars, whatever you want to call them, probably no one's going to show up.
I don't know if it's true.
Well, hey, so I say this. And I jinx it sometimes. But like, here's what happened for me is my first one, no one signed up. No one, no one registered. No one showed up. I still like got on Zoom and I was like, I don't know what I'm doing. Second one, no one signed up. Third one, two people signed up, one showed up and he was my marketing person. My fourth one, two people registered and confirmed that they were coming. And I panicked because I was like, I can't just have two people after just having one person. That's so embarrassing. So I made my dad, my sister, my friend Palmer all come. Oh my God, so embarrassing. And then people started coming. But like, the first few times, just expect you're training your world that you're the kind of person who does webinars, that you're the kind of person who does pop up trainings.
Yeah, yeah, totally. That's super true.
But yeah, so that's, that's the logistics of how you're gonna do it. You're gonna keep it super simple.
Yeah. Okay. It's edgy because I'm just. I keep thinking it's going to be called like, the art of feminine communication.
Well, we wanna.
Yeah, what do you think?
That could be a subtitle. Yeah, like a subheading. But we want it to be hyper specific.
Okay. So what would it be?
Able to see it and be like, oh my God, I want that, Like, I have that problem. I want to be able to do that. Right. So. Because we want to think of it like a lead magnet. Right. So one of the things I'm actually like teasing this week's brave biz lab with, I did find it. Er. So, yeah, so it is called double your sales calls overnight A guide.
Yeah.
So it's super brick to forehead, super obvious. Here's what we're doing.
Yeah, right. Yeah. So like, like be a compelling speaker.
Yeah, yeah. Be the speaker who gets promoted. Be the speaker who heads the project.
Be the speaker who gets invited back.
Yeah. Yep, 100%. Yeah. Be the speaker who the audience requests back for the next year.
No, be the speaker who inspired the whole audience.
Yeah, something like that. And also remember, you want to like, bring in science to it, you know? So like, what is the challenge that like space professionals face when they're talking about something that is really technical to a crowd?
Yeah.
Right. So how do you make it take it from technical to compelling or whatever?
You know, I mean, I will say like one of my recent clients who I think she just. I think she like, just doesn't have a budget right now. So she also disappeared, but.
She didn't.
We didn't ever go under contract, though. But anyways, she was like, I don't feel like I'm relatable. And I was like, feel like. I was basically like, feel your feelings. You know, like, if it's for hers, literally, like, you want to be relatable. Your feelings. And so that just feels like a. It just feels like the big thing that I work on with people.
Yeah. Well, and here's the thing. Like, if you're the only in a group and really no one can relate to your experience.
Yeah.
Then of course you don't feel relatable.
Yeah.
Like.
Yeah. Like, no.
Can relate to you having a period.
Cool.
So you're not relatable. Yeah. None of the guys can relate to being the only in the group, you know, unless they're, you know, a minority in a different sense and they're all alone as well.
Yeah. Yeah. But. And. And I don't know if it's sort of. It's like. And as women, I feel like a lot of these women, like, feel like they need to put on the face to, like, fit in with the group, but then they're actually, like, abandoning themselves to try and fit in in a place where they actually don't fit in. And that's what.
Yeah.
Makes it special that they're there.
It's really important for you to know this. And also, it's not going to help with your marketing because it's the root of the problem.
Okay.
Right. It's like what you see as the expert coach who can see what's causing the problem for them. It's not what they see as the problem for themselves right now.
Yeah. So what they're seeing is more like, I'm not relatable and people don't respect me, basically.
How does. How to be relatable and respected on stage. Something like that.
Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
Yeah. I think that would be a great way to kind of re. Engage folks who've kind of dropped off.
Or I can reach out to people who. If I'm like, okay, it feels an integrity for me to honor my prices with them. And I can say, hey, I'm raising my prices. Yeah.
Exactly a week. Yeah.
And now's your time. Yeah.
Yeah. I would. I would give them. Next week is a holiday, so I would give them until like, the following Friday.
Yeah.
Right. But, yeah. Yeah, give them. Give them that deadline.
Okay, I'm gonna do that. Cool. Okay. Okay. This is all helpful I feel like this is, like, a good place for me to start.
Okay.
A lot of information.
Yeah.
So I'll. So, okay. Just because I do go to do list, which I think is also maybe like, the ADHD entrepreneur number one is still to just, like, can. Yeah. Finish. Finish the interviews with more with specific details. Compile the, like, top 10 pain points or desires.
Yeah. A pain point should have a corresponding desire to it.
Yeah. Okay.
Yeah.
Okay. And then create a. What am I creating? Create one of my. Sorry, I lost my train of thought. Oh, yeah. Just create my plan. Create a plan to, like, get back in touch with, like, older people and again, like, create some momentum once I'm ready with. To release this program. Yeah.
Awesome.
Okay. And then I think there's one more question I wanted to ask you.
Yeah.
Should I just lost it? No, I lost it. I lost that. Yeah, it's gone. What'd you say?
I said it must have been a lie.
Yeah, exactly. It must have been a lie. Yeah. Totally lost it.
When you remember, just post it in Heartbeat and I'll answer.
Okay. Okay, great.
Anything else?
Thank you. No, thank you so much. All right, cool.
All right, I'll talk to you soon. See you Friday.
Okay, bye.
Bye.
