All right. Hello.
Hi. How are you?
I'm super well. How are you?
I'm good, I'm good. I'm really grateful. We were supposed to have this massive storm come through and we always lose power when that happens. I was a little nervous that like I'd have to rearrange my. But it's more mild than they said it would be.
Is it snowing storm or just rainstorm?
Rainstorm, but. But I. I'm on a peninsula that's like juts out into the Atlantic Ocean.
Wow.
When we get like a nor Easter, it's like we just get bashed with it. So. Oh yeah.
Anyway, I got it from my son. That's cute.
I like those gifts you get for someone else and then you immediately take it.
I have to say that you're absolutely genius. I mean, I mean. Okay, well you don't know me yet that well so I'm not just saying that. And now the like with, with this exercise which I'm obviously struggling. Yeah, I see it immediately on others. So there is a brand agency that I was so wowed at and constantly aspiring to become like them. And they published today a case study of a personal branding for a woman that I know. And I know both of them have a lot of respect, especially when you take a zero and build into one. So I'm not, I'm not saying it out of disrespect or anything but the way they branded her, I mean now I can see that this is like now I'm. I'm. My eyes are complete. Well, yeah, that polished obviously. But there's. It's so flat, so boring, so fluffy. You know, I didn't say anything. It just says what? And. And, but who cares? Nobody cares. And so now I get it. And so am I. Am I. We're still waiting for others to join. Right.
Or, or you know, we actually just have you and Yvonne right now. Monica. Monica's taking a month off and I'm actually just ramping up to re a bunch of people. So we're going to have. You're going to have a lot of me the in the next month. So you really get to hit the ground running. But what I want to say about that is like this is. This is why a lot of new business owners get taken advantage of from marketing companies and the, and I don't mean that the marketing companies are scammy. I mean that they don't know how to say no to the business owner. Right. Because what you're describing is like the business owner that woman would totally be like happy with what they created because it made her feel special. It made her feel like she's the expert.
Her.
Feel like she's valid plastic.
Yes.
Right. Which, I mean, when you're just starting out, like you need that boost of confidence. And also it does shit for your clients. It does shit to get clients. Like, because it's all about you and your client, your ideal clients out there. Don't understand how you having all this expertise is actually going to help them with where they are right now.
And I'm so stuck in my own expert language. And you know, I recorded a video that should be uploaded tomorrow, but it's so. Expert language. Yeah. If I should post or not. But probably I will because like you said. And maybe I will speak even about it. I will turn it around and I will talk about it. Like I will use video and I will speak about the expert language that I fell a trap to.
So totally.
Yeah. So thank you. I mean that's, that's really like total worth, you know, when we learn a huge lesson, it's a milestone, it's a shift, it's ready, Ready. I feel like it's paying off already. All this, the problem.
So is that your celebration for this afternoon?
Yes.
Okay. All right. Yvonne, welcome. What is, what are you celebrating today?
Actually, big milestone today. I officially have my official practitioner of holistic medicine accreditation. So, like everything's legit. I can practice.
Amazing. Amazing.
I've been watching my emails for, you know, a couple weeks and it finally came today, so I'm taking a moment to celebrate.
Congratulations. Thank you. Yeah, that's huge. Awesome. Well, you know, I was just telling Dina that I am this month you're going to see a big push for me to re enroll starting in May. I've been working on a lot of back end stuff, so you guys get a lot of me this month, so. Yeah. So take advantage. You're also going to start seeing. Here, let me just put it in the link. The link in the chat. You're going to see me promoting a 30 day challenge that starts in May. I tell you about this because I don't want you paying for it because you get it for free. And I want to give you the coupon code so you can sign up for it.
Hold on.
Paste. Okay, so this is the, the link and this should be the coupon code that gives you 100% off to sign up.
Well, thank you.
Yeah. So it's a 31 day challenge. So every day in the month of May, we're gonna have accountability. There's gonna be social media prompts. All the things you, as my clients are also gonna have access to like the backend, like content built library building template that I'm gonna be rolling out for byob. But this is gonna be like a daily call Monday through Friday where we hop in and literally just like get your content out there.
Every. Sorry. Every. I don't know how to multitask and so I was.
Sorry, sorry. Monday through Friday, there's going to be a call at 9am Eastern Time for 45 minutes every Monday through Friday for the month of May.
So sorry, does it mean every day or just Monday and Friday?
Monday through Friday. So every weekday.
Okay.
Every. Every United States weekday. Not Israeli weekday. I know you guys start on Sunday. Anyway. Where was I going with that? Oh, oh. And the prize if you successfully post every single day for 31 days is you win a 30 minute one on one call with me.
No way.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm making it interesting. So you just have to present your evidence of posting every single day. So anyway, little housekeeping. But what questions do you have now?
I want to throw up 31 days of posting every day.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But you know what? Like, because you guys are in my program, you know, you guys can absolutely start working on the content before.
Yeah.
And schedule it.
Actually.
Yeah.
And with regards to that, I was thinking, because I'm posting with. I'm still playing with the hour that I publish my post, so I try to do it between 8am to 9am Sometimes it's a bit later.
Yeah.
And, but it's my time. So now I'm thinking if the US also becomes relevant. So maybe I should do it 7am eastern time.
You can. Yeah, I, you know, I would split the difference. So like, what time is it there right now?
6. But we changed our clock just past.
Yeah. So we did it a couple weeks ago. So I would actually do it 6am here. So it's noon there. So you're getting the lunch break.
Ah, okay. Got it.
Yeah. Okay, do that.
Okay. Sorry, I can. I don't know, I, for some reason I, I cannot copy the link. It doesn't let me.
Can you click on it?
Yes.
Okay, cool.
Yeah.
All right, awesome. Okay, what questions do you have today?
Yeah, I mean, I have a lot, so. Yvonne, you should go first.
Well, I mean you, you answered my question Yesterday on the LinkedIn Pro portion. I was actually surprised by your answer. I mean, it totally makes sense. But I totally, totally assumed that you.
LinkedIn as soon as they get a little bit of money from you, they're like, we're gonna, we're gonna make sure that you have to keep giving us money. So once you go pro and you're spending 20 or $30 a month, if you ever cancel, it's a hundred dollars a month. That's Navigate Navigator.
Oh, that's Navigator.
Yeah.
I think business is $70 a month, but it's, yeah, outrageous.
It's, it's ridiculous. Yeah, it's absolutely ridiculous. I have Navigator just because I like being able to show people if it's relevant to their business. Here's how you can use it. For you guys, you don't need it. You're not going to be cold, cold prospecting at all. You know, you're not going to be sending cold dms.
I'm already prime, so I don't know what should I the continue.
Okay, so you have to just keep it. You have to just keep it. Yeah, so, but yeah, like I tried canceling at some, at one point when I just had pro and my engagement went down by about 80% off and it was like, oh, my God. Because I hadn't changed my content, really, it's all the same. And then I, I upgraded again. It went right back to normal. And I've had a lot of clients go through that as well. So, yeah, so stay free for as long as possible.
And they're changing a lot of the features because they want to people to start subscribing. L says that the price will go down at some point. She's, she thinks so.
Yeah. I don't, I mean, I can't, I don't know what is going to happen. But for right now, just stay free. And then if it becomes, if it comes to the point where there are features that you need that are in the upgraded version, then, then that you'll need to do it then.
That makes sense.
Yeah.
Yeah. I had the career version a few years ago when there was like a free trial, but I just let it run out. So I never paid for anything. And they keep trying to like, hey, 50% off. 50% off. And yeah, like it's not, I don't need it for that anymore anyway.
Yeah, no, no, no. Yeah, I, I, I mean, I'm a big fan of doing it as cheap as possible for as long as possible until you need to upgrade stuff.
You.
Know, why spend the money on unnecessary things? It all adds up, you know? Yeah.
Yes.
Yeah.
Cool.
What other questions do we have?
So before I get to the, to this task that I'm trying to. If I can get out of the way with other questions first, should I continue with the course or shall I wait to finish my market research and then continue with the next modules?
I think, I mean, how do you learn best? Because some people. Some people learn best by, like, doing the action here, but also knowing what's coming up next.
I prefer to come to that market research as clean as possible. Because if I'll try to already work on my offering.
Yeah.
Too much in that and not right.
That's your answer. There's no right way to do it. There's the right way for you to do it.
Okay. Okay. Got it. Yeah. And one of my intentions to work with you as well is my limiting beliefs around money. And I have a whole pile of them. And now I'm really into manifestation meditation, and I'm really struggling to even say or. And I think I also was struggling to answer that question to you. How much money I want to make? Yeah.
So close your eyes for a second. Okay. When. When you're trying to think of that answer. And Yvonne, if you want to do this too. So when I ask, how much money do you want to make? And I'm asking about that big, like, luscious, juicy dream. Want to make. Do a scan of your body and notice, like, what you're feeling right now and where you're feeling it. When you notice when you hone and hone in on an area and a sensation, I want you to focus in on that sensation. And what happens as you focus in on it. Something about our bodies is that our bodies hold knowledge. Sometimes that knowledge is incorrect. Right. And so the knowledge your body holds can be fears, can be beliefs that don't serve you. So as you focus in on this part of your body where you're feeling the sensation, when that question gets asked, I want you to ask that part of your body. What fear are you holding for me? What's coming up?
That I'm not good enough.
That's the fear. Yeah. That you're not good enough for that.
Where.
Where in your body were you feeling it.
Initially? Outside of my body. Yeah, like that. It's like. It's like. It's a. Because I shouldn't focus on money because it's limiting. So it's better to be an outside factor.
Yeah.
But then it was really here.
Yeah. In your head.
Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So that's really important to note because you've actually disassociated.
Yes.
From your desire for money.
Yes.
Right. It's become so shameful that you've. You've kind of forced it out.
Yes.
Yeah.
So what's next?
Hold on, Yvonne. Where did it show up for you? And what. What was your fear?
Well, so I'm a very visual person.
Yeah.
So for me, I felt nauseous in my throat. So it was like a connection between my stomach. It pit in my stomach and my throat. And as soon as you said like, I. I immediately knew where it came from. It's from childhood trauma. It's better to be unseen because if you're unseen, you're safe. No one can hurt you, hit you, abuse you, if they don't know you exist. Right.
So.
But then when I. When you started talking about. Anyway, I started to see it flower, it was like, coming out of my mouth.
So.
So, like, I had a really cool visualization.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Cool.
So. And I just want to ask, how does it feel to just name it and get it out of you?
So for me, I've done a lot of work on this area, so just recognizing. Oh, here's that old pattern again, of being hidden means safety. That served me as a child. It does not serve me as a professional.
Right. Yeah.
Like, helps.
Yeah.
For me, a lot of question marks. And. And I've also realized that I haven't been doing many. I'm very spiritual, I think, from. Even as a child, I was sensing a lot, but I was also very fearful of not manifesting correctly and not using the right language.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So there's a. There's a saboteur voice in you that's telling you saboteur. So in coaching, you know, we have our inner leader and we have our. Our spirit guide, and we have, like, our intuition, all these really, like, aligned voices that play up in our heads when we feel grounded and we feel good about what we're up to. We also have saboteur voices or voices of doubt.
No.
Okay. And their only job is to protect you from shit that you're not familiar with. Right. And so you. It sounds like you have a right and wrong saboteur.
You're.
You have a saboteur that comes in and it's like, well, you don't want to do it the wrong way.
Yeah.
Like there's a right way to do it, and you're probably not going to do it. Right. So just don't even try.
But I'm still trying.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But also, like, know that that voice is.
Okay.
There's like.
Yes.
Okay. So if you're baking a souffle or a cake, there's a right way to bake the cake. Like, that's chemistry.
Yeah. I don't normally bake, and I bake it once.
Okay, great.
Did it.
Did it rise?
Did it work? I did it. Only a child the way. But then it completely collapsed.
Yes.
And I loved it so much. Yeah.
Okay, cool. So life is not baking, though.
Yeah. Yeah.
Life isn't baking. Like, especially building a business and calling in money. Like, it's not baking. I want. I actually want you both to take a moment and write down all the times that money has come to you unexpectedly. And it could be that you found $5 in an old coat. It could be that a relative gave you $5,000 for your birthday. It could be a refund that you weren't expecting. I'll give you. I'll give you a minute. I'm just going to close my. Okay. And finish your final thought. Okay. Give me some examples of when money came to you unexpectedly recently.
My mom. I got a post to check if I'm eligible for a tax refund. And in Israel, I mean, we don't do the tax every year. Like, in the US I kept on postponing, but thanks to her, I got, like, three big sums, about 50,000 shekels. Yeah. Huge. Which really helped. Yeah. Yes.
Yes. Amazing.
Yeah.
And, Yvonne, what about you?
So the.
The first time I remember when I turned 16, I got a fund from my great grandfather that I didn't know was about $2,000. But it helped me buy my first car. I didn't even know it existed. My grand. My great grandfather died when I was 4, and apparently he had put money away from me and just kind of sat there and grew over, you know, so that was unexpected. I always find money in my winter coats. It's like a fun thing. I can't wait till winter because I'm like, what did I stick in here?
Any.
Anything from $20 to $50. Unexpected tax returns, up to $10,000 RSU that invested and, like, made a bunch of money, which is always a nice surprise. And then my family, my kids are great at this too. We find money everywhere. I find anything from a penny to $10 laying around just in the street.
Yeah.
All the time.
Yep. Okay, cool. So here's. Here's my question for you. What was the right action you took to make sure all this happened? Right.
Keep your eyes open.
Exactly. Yeah.
Yeah.
So, but, like, money's coming to you anyway. Like, you don't have to get so crunchy and, like, uptight about doing things the right way because money's already coming to you, right?
Yeah.
Like, when we think about a manifestation practice and there are a couple different models for this, you know, it's really training your brain to identify more opportunities for money to come to you. You know, I want you to think about, like, when they say at one point, you decided you wanted to buy a yellow Jeep at the yellow Jeep Wrangler, right? And all of a sudden, you're noticing them everywhere. It's like. It's like, oh, my God, like, everyone now has a yellow Jeep wrangler. People got my car, like, these assholes. Like, I wanted that car. And then you're like, well, maybe. Maybe they're out of the yellow Jeep wrangler because everyone's buying the car. No, no, no. Like, your brain, because you decided that you wanted it, decided just click, you know, flipped that switch so that you could identify every opportunity you possibly could to get it, which means identifying every time that you see a yellow Jeep Wrangler. There were always that many yellow Jeep wranglers on the road. You just didn't notice them because you're. That switch in your brain wasn't turned on.
Yes.
Right. Now when we decide we want to make a million dollars a year, it's the same thing. Like, the money's already out there. It's already, like, primed to come to us when we decide we want it. Like, we don't decide that we want stuff that we can't have. Things that you truly, truly want. Like, I don't want to win the Olympics. There's nothing I'm fucking qualified for. I don't like sports. Like, no. You know, but if I wanted something, I'm sure there's an Olympic sport that I could absolutely do. I mean, what is it? The luge thing? They're the. You know, the. The ball. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Are you just gonna, like, shove it? I could probably do that if I wanted it. I don't. Right. It's the same for money, right? So there's no correct practice for calling in that money. It's just, like. You just have to, like, continuously flex that muscle because your brain needs to, like, start believing. Okay. I want this so bad. It's possible for me.
So I have that about my business, which is really cool. And being more and more intent, like, stronger. Stronger and stronger.
Yeah.
And everybody says that you should be also very specific about what you want. And every time I change the amount that I want, and in turn, like.
Yeah.
Link it to something in return or not. And so I'm like, I don't know where to look, where to pinpoint.
Yeah. So, so let's come up with, like, what you want for the next two years or the next three years. Right. Because what you want is going to change.
So can we take a year? Yeah.
What do you want in the next.
Or month? I don't know. Month. I don't know. So, yeah, I don't see that far. Yeah.
And that's, that's really normal for people with adhd. It really is. Yeah.
So I'm diagnosed hdhd. I didn't think I was.
Well, I'm just saying it's very normal for people with adhd. I don't know if you're ADHD or not, but, like, if it's hard for you to identify that, then find a shorter sprint. But here's what I don't want to happen, is that you set up, like this big goal for the next month and use that as a test.
Yes, yes.
Like, it's a test to see if the universe is actually gonna give you the thing that you want.
So I'm convinced that it's working. I know. And actually I did a challenge of 24 hours on Saturday and I wrote it down that I will have an opportunity for a potential client. And I was looking for. Never gonna happen. But on Saturday, I spoke to a father of my son's friend who told me about an opportunity in his company.
Yeah.
So it's, I, I, that's it. That's. I'm already past that. I know that it exists. Probably. I haven't figured it out.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, I mean, beautiful. Beautiful. And also, like, you know, let's make a goal that you're gonna be making $500,000 a year by the end of your third year. Let's make that goal.
Okay. 5. So half a million. Half a million dollars, I should say USD. Okay. By third year.
By the third year.
Okay, so, so now what?
Well, so focus in on that because, like, part of this is you have to train your brain to know that it's possible.
Ah, okay. So if I'm focusing on third year now, I don't focus on this month, next month.
I mean, you do. There's stuff that you're going to be doing this month, next month that's going to help you get there.
Okay.
Right. But like, but you have to start training your brain to, to focus on that big number.
Okay.
All right. Focus on that big number and want it. Let yourself Just feel the wanting of it and feel the wanting of everything it could give you.
It feels so far away.
Yeah. Yeah. That's why you have to practice.
Okay. Okay.
Yeah. And honestly, the number is arbitrary.
Okay?
The number is arbitrary.
It's. It's.
You can make it 20 million, you know, but, like, the. The number is really arbitrary. What we're doing is we're trying to flex that muscle so that your brain becomes pliable and, like, can start believing that you're going to make that amount of money from your business.
Okay.
Right. Paired with that. Paired with that. If we know that's your goal for year three, we can reverse engineer what action steps you need to take today, tomorrow, next month, next year, so on and so forth to help you get there.
Got it. And how now I reverse engineer. That's.
That's what we'll do. But you have to do your market research first. But right now, I want you focusing on your market research, and I want you focusing on just giving yourself time to really focus on what you want and just allow yourself to feel that energy of wanting it, of calling it in.
I don't need to give an answer now, or I can.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You can sit with it, figure out your way. You know, one of the ways that I do this is I chose. I choose, like, moments that I'll always have, you know, to call in what I want. So, like, when I'm walking my dog, like, I'm always going to walk my dog. I love my dog, and I don't want to give up that time with her. It's not like I'm going to outsource taking care of my dog to someone else. You know, she's my baby, of course, but, like, there's going to be a point where I'm making millions of dollars a year where I'm also going to be walking her. And, like, what are the worries that I'm going to have when I'm making millions of dollars a year? And, like, what's the thing that I'm about to be coming back to my office to do? You know, am I going to be interviewed by msnbc, you know, for a special segment they're doing on small businesses or on, like, consulting businesses? Totally. But, like, you know, me walking my dog, like, that is the activity that I'm still going to be doing. And so you get to, like, kind of transport yourself into that moment. Like, it could be cooking dinner, you know. Okay, well, then it could also be showering.
I need a shaft I've decided already. I need a shaft.
Yeah, exactly.
Fair. Okay, so showering, you're still gonna shower. You're not gonna, like, unless you're gonna have someone else bathe you.
Like.
Which, no judgment, it's your money. You can do what you want, but you're still gonna have to wash your hair. You're still gonna have to shave your legs. If you choose to, like, you're still going to have to wash your body and your face. Like, when you're in the shower, you get to imagine you're three years from now, and this is your life, and this is what's different. And this is, like, what you've called in, and this is what you're grateful for. And also, this is the. That drives you nuts. Now, like, remember, your brain loves reality. So like, anything that's too, like daisies and rainbows and unicorns, your brain's gonna like, eh, I don't really believe that. So adding some color, adding some things that still annoy you is gonna make it, like, more believable for your brain.
Okay. Oh, very good. Yes.
Yeah. Does that feel good?
Yes, very good. Thank you so much. Okay, so it's a process.
It's a process.
And now already did the. The first couple of. Or whatever steps.
Yeah.
Cool.
All right. What other questions do we have today?
And I should not. And I should stop worry about money.
I mean it. That's easy to say, hard to do, right? What I want you to stop doing is stop making yourself wrong for the emotions that come up, for the thoughts that come up. Like, if you're worrying about money, like, don't make yourself, like. Because here's what happens is it becomes like a compounding effect, right? You start worrying about money, and then you're like, oh, my God, I'm worrying about money. This is wrong. I'm gonna block all money from coming from. To me. And then that's kind of like the mindset you have. So you actually do end up blocking all the money from coming for. You're like, no, I'm failing. I'm worrying. And you become so focused in on being the failure who's like, failing because you're worrying, and it just becomes this mucky mess.
Yes. So if it comes, just h. Yeah.
If it comes, notice where the worry is living in your body. Just notice where it is, you know? And breathe into it.
Take.
Take like five minutes. Breathe into it. And if you can imagine, like, with each breath, it, like, just let it dissolve. Let it. Let it float away, you know? And if it doesn't float away. Just kind of notice it's there. And like, it just needs to voice whatever fear it's feeling, you know? You know, and also remember we're, we're humans in meat suits that need food and water and sleep. And when we don't have enough food and we don't have enough water and we don't have enough sleep, like our brains turn on us. Everything becomes a problem.
Yes, I know, I know.
Yeah. So you know, you can't do this perfectly. You just can't. Like that's, that's not realistic. We forget to drink water for hours at a time. Then we get a little dehydrated. Like that's, that can't stop.
There we go.
You know, there are nights that like, the neighbor's making too much noise and you can't sleep and that happens. And, you know, all we can do is just not make ourselves wrong. When bad feelings come up.
Just hug it and love it. Yeah. And breathe to it.
Yeah, yeah. And when you can't hug it and love it, just notice it.
Okay.
Just notice it. Right.
Well, that's very helpful, thank you.
Yeah, of course.
So if. Yeah, if we can. Yeah. So I was thinking about again, I was trying to take a step back.
Huh.
For me, what the CEO really wants is to have a clear desk. I mean, his ideal day at work is to have a clear desk, not to be busy with the day to day putting the fires down operational and really came come to his office and do what he meant to be doing is to build this company to success returns.
Yeah, yeah. So I want you more specific. What does that mean? So when they come to their office, are they able to like reject meetings that they don't want to be on? You know, kind of like Warren Buffett, he only takes a few meetings a week. He rejects everything else. You know, do they want to come to the office and be able to start new creative projects for new products? They want to push out into the world, you know, and be able to employ teams to really work on it. Do they want an exit plan? Like, do they want like seven years in to be able to piece out and have like a really sick buyout, you know, for hundreds of millions of dollars, you know, whatever your clients want, like you naming that they want it is not you guaranteeing that you can provide it. But the more specific you are, even if it's not specifically what someone wants, like, they're like, I don't necessarily want that, but I want a version of this. Like they will correct it in their brains. They will edit it to what they want, you know, so, Yvonne, you know, some of your clients might like, honestly just start working with you because they want to lose weight right through the work, they're going to understand there's a whole lot of other stuff that they need to deal with that's going to make their life better overall. But for right now, the instigator to hire you and pay big money is I look in the mirror and I'm just not happy. Yeah. The more specific we can get, the better.
And it. I need. So it can be a very long list, but I need to choose three. Yeah, super specific. So, like, maximum returns. It's fluff, right?
Fluff. Yep. Yeah, yeah. So think about where they are right now. Are they taking less money than they should be? If this business were like, fully functional and making a lot of money.
Yes.
Yeah.
Cool.
So how much more money do they want to be making and how many hours do they want to be, like, actively working in the business, You know? And also, Dina, I want to just name, like, you're going to guess at this for the first. For the first few posts and the first few emails, and then you're going to start doing the interviews and then you're going to take information that you're getting from the interviews and you're going to iterate. It's not perfect. And Yvonne, the same for you as you're going through your interviews? Yeah.
I actually had a question for you, Katie. I wanted to also play with video a little bit, and so I was curious if you had any either tips or tools that you use just for video. I mean, other than. Because I think like, writing is one skill, but, like, sometimes it's easier to just talk.
Yeah. So where.
Where are you wanting to post the videos? That. That changes it.
That's a good question. I hadn't thought of that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
On LinkedIn, whenever you post a video, you still have to write a post for it, you know, because otherwise people won't watch it. Because people like to know, what am I giving my two minutes to?
Yeah.
You know, which is fine because once.
The video is done, I can translate, kind of transcribe what I was in there.
Yeah, exactly. But honestly, I. I like filming everything in TikTok because it's really easy to edit in the app.
Oh, I've actually, I actually don't have TikTok.
Yeah. Instagram Reels is also.
Cap Cap is their app.
Oh, capcut. Yeah. And that's an option too. It's just where wherever is easiest for you to figure it out, honestly. So, okay, so let's, let's talk through what's important in a video, like the anatomy of a good video. Okay. Okay, first rules. Okay. No saying hello everyone. No, X, X, X, X. Bad, bad. We also don't start with introducing myself. Hi, I'm Katie X. No, ah, ah. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. Okay, no start. Hi. Today we're going to be talking like that. Silence. You, you want to edit it so it starts on. Today we're talking about. Okay, so if you have to cut it like to the point where your mouth is just opening to work, make the sound, do that right. Like as people are going through social media, it takes very little time for them to decide.
Too long.
Taking too long. I'm just going to keep going.
First three seconds. You got three seconds to hook them or lose them.
I bet. Honestly, if there's silence, even if it's like a quarter of a second, it's too long. Yeah. Okay, so those are the three absolute big no nos. Okay. So you, the first thing you say has to be the hook. Okay. And I want you to think about like what's the hook that catches your attention? You know, the top three habits that help me lose £15.
Cool.
I'm interested.
The.
Number one sign a business will grow to a billion dollars in, in value valuation.
Oh, wow.
Well, like if you're an investor, if you're a CEO, like tell me what is that? And you want to think about like the problems your clients have and the things that they want. You know, the three steps I took to getting my first five high paying clients. Cool. Like I want to know what those steps are. You know, here's how I helped my client go from X to Y in Z amount of time, you know, you want to lay out. It's almost like, you know when you wrote a research paper in college and you had to come to a conclusion what that conclusion was. You want to take that, like you want to summarize that conclusion paragraph in one sentence and you want that to be your hook, right? Because people want to know like what you're, what you're going to be telling them about from the get go. I'm just waiting. Want to make sure you get that down, Yvonne?
Yeah.
Okay, now here's where we get to mess with the, the cadence of. Right. Okay. Because oftentimes when people start doing videos and I, I did this too, we feel like, okay, well it has to be structured kind of like a post, like A written post. And it can be. But remember, like, it's when people go to your profile on TikTok or Instagram or something, you don't have a whole lot of stuff or a lot of places to explain who you are. Right. And since you already have their attention, this is the perfect time after you've done the hook to introduce who you are. Okay, but we do it backwards. We start with, I help this type of person get to this type of result without these kinds of pain points.
I help this type of person get.
To this type of result without these kinds of pain points. Yeah. You can then also name how you do it, but you want to name it in their speak. Right. Like the problems they're aware that they have. By showing you how to get your investors off your back so you can focus on your work.
Yeah, but.
Yeah, by showing you how to kindly tell the problem managers at your work to go themselves and leave you alone and deal with their own whatever, you know, or members too.
Yeah, yeah.
By showing you how to make really delicious, like, snacks that can sub in for candy and things like that. You know, you can get specific with it. It can change also, depending on what the video is. And then, and only then do you say, hi, my name is Yvonne and I'm a. And then you can name your title there. Yeah, but ultimately no one cares about your title.
True.
They care about are you useful to me? And tell me how you're useful to me as soon as possible.
So in my case, I would say, hi, I'm Dina and I'm a strategist. Or no.
Yeah, you can say I'm a. I'm a business strategist. I'm a investor relations strategist. I like that last one. I'm an investor relations strategist. Because it kind of covers the whole gambit of everything. No, no.
No. For me, strategist is much more broader than investor relations. I know how you see it. And so. Because I would agree. Because if it's not. So what are we talking about? Right.
Yeah.
Is the one who would ultimately decide whether they should invest or not. Right. And so he's the priority. But many CEOs don't invest in investor relations and invest.
So what do they invest in?
In the business. Cool. But what.
So, but you have to make your. Your title relevant to their problems.
Yeah.
How many? Like, I'm a business strategist, but I don't work with CEOs. I mean, I do, but I don't work with CEOs of, like, you Know companies that need investment.
Yes.
Right. So what sets you apart? What makes you relevant to them? More relevant than I am?
I see. I don't know. I mean, I don't know how to verbalize.
Then just say, hi, I'm Dina.
Okay.
That's it? Yeah. Because the rest, I mean, you've already told them how you're useful to them.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know, no one's going to remember your title. Everyone's gonna remember. What, like, what's the result that you help your clients get?
Yeah, yeah. Okay.
Okay. And then, and then you go into the topic.
Yes.
You know, my number one tip is this. You could also do the 3, 2, 1. Like the third most important thing you're going to do is X, Y and Z.
Sorry, Katie, again. So you're now turning to them and say, this is the best thing that you're going to do. X, Y and Z. Yeah.
So for instance, you know, here are the top three mistakes that people make on a sales call. And hi, I help ADHD business owners make more money in less time with fewer distractions by showing you how to pick your profitable niche. Design an offer that they are starving to buy and train you on how to market and sell your services without wanting to vomit. I'm Katie McManus, business strategist and money mindset coach. The top. The number three biggest mistake that people make on a sales call is they don't slow down when they're making their offer. Okay. What this does is when you're on a sales call with someone, it communicates to them that they're missing something. It's like the fine print on a contract. And what happens when you're reading a contract and there's a bunch of fine print? You slow down, you say, no, no, no, no, no. I'm not signing anything until I understand what this is. Right. It's the same on a sales call, so you have to slow down. It sounds unnatural, but it will help you close more deals. The second thing that people make a mistake on is they don't set the agenda early on in the call. They don't tell this person, hey, this is my shop. You're a guest here. I'm going to set the agenda and I'm going to get buy in from you. But this is my show and I'm running it. When you don't do that, your sales calls run too long. The person feels like they can walk all over you and you will not know what went wrong when they say no. The number one mistake that People make on a sales call is at the end, they don't plan that next call. If it's a yes, you need to book in your client's first session immediately. You need to give them that deadline to pay their bill and to sign their agreement. You don't want to just say, oh, pay your bill, sign your agreement, and then you can book because you've just given them a shit ton of work and time kills deals. So they could put it off. Put it off and then be like, oh, I don't really need this. Right. If they say maybe and they need some time to think about it. Absolutely. Take some time. How many days do you need? Let's book a time to do a yes, no call. Right. Because then they can't float off into neverwhere and then think, oh, I never got back to that lady. What's her name again? Oh, she probably thinks I'm an. And then I can't. I can never work with her. Right. They get to give you yes and start working with you, or they get to give you a no, and then they can always feel comfortable coming back to you because they close the loop. If you struggle with your sales call and you need help to start getting more yeses, then here's how you get in touch with me. So you see, like, I did the hook, I did my intro, and then I broke down the three things, and I kind of just showed them, like, the benefit of doing it my way. I didn't tell them necessarily how to do it, but I showed them the benefit of it. And I could have gone further. I could have said, you know, if you do this, you should be closing X amount of people out of X amount of sales calls. You know, I could have also opened up another problem for them and said, cool. If your problem is actually that you don't have anyone booking sales call calls, then you need to book a call with me.
This is amazing.
Is this helpful?
Super helpful. And I can. I want to share something. I realized that I have a big ego. I mean, I'm super kind and nice person. And I never thought that I had the big ego, but I think that the ego was the one who interfered me to admit that I don't know how to build a business before I got to.
Join the club. It happens to everyone.
Right? Yeah.
Yep.
Because I was thinking, I'm a strategist. How can I, you know, not know all this stuff?
Yeah. But what you're a strategist in is a completely different kind of business.
I know.
I Know, Right.
Yeah.
Yeah. Just because you're a brain surgeon doesn't mean you know anything about, like, erectile dysfunction. Sorry. Like, take your penis somewhere else. Like, I can deal with your brain, but that's another story. I don't know. To answer your question, make sure you got what you needed out of that. Does that help?
Yes. So I guess it's, you know, whatever. I was just curious of, like, do you use any. Obviously film, wherever is.
Is.
Is most useful, but do you use anything to add banners or subtitles or. Or not. Not subtitles, that's a whole different thing. But like, banners or. Or how do you. How do you add your logo onto your video?
There are a few ways you can do it. Depends on the app you're using. I don't necessarily add my logo because it's always going to be on my. Okay. There's numerous types of. Of programs you can use to add your logo. Yeah, you can. I'm not attached to you using a logo for this.
What made me think of it was the course. In the course, you have your banner. Across the bottom. It says Katie, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's honestly because the production value needs to be a little higher for stuff that people pay for.
Yeah.
You know, not that I do anything different with how I'm filming stuff.
Yeah.
It just like, makes it look a little more polished and it reminds people of where they are in the process. In your content, you know, it's more about them connecting with you. And actually, like, the less. The less, like, done up it is, the better, you know, because then it feels like it's genuinely you. Right. What is important is the captions. A lot of people, like, I actually have a really hard time, like, auditory processing. So sometimes, like, if I'm watching something and there's not captions, I have a hard time kind of connecting with what they're saying.
I watch movies with subtitles.
Yay.
I'm a visual learner.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah.
Yeah. So all the apps right now do auto captions and you can just go through and edit it sometimes. Sometimes, like, you'll say something and it comes out weird and you're like, oh, I should probably edit. Just make sure you edit it for anything weird that shows up. But you know, something that I. This is the reason I like the TikTok app is that when I'm filming something, I start it and I say my thing and then I pause it. Right. Because how I just did it with you guys. I would normally get camera shyness at some point and Stumble on my words. Right. And then when you're in the app, you can actually, like, clip either side of the, of the short little video so you're cut. There's no gap in. In. In sound. Yeah.
And. And can I just add, because I also had the same question about a watermark on my video and Leah suggested not to have it because then it gets fishy that you're trying to sell them.
Right.
Then they will be drawn to you. Like, just like you said.
Yeah.
Yourself.
There's also. There's also a great app that I use, so I only create content on TikTok for video. I don't. I don't create content anywhere else. And everything that I post on TikTok is automatically repurposed to Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. And actually I could also do it to LinkedIn, but I don't. I mean, I just haven't. And that, that. Yeah, but I mean. Yeah, but I mean, maybe I will. I don't know, maybe I'll do it to my, my business page, but the platform I use for that is Repurpose IO. It makes life so easy.
Yeah. In your videos you spoke about a Facebook group, but I. I'm not part of that Facebook group. I don't know if it still exists in your module.
When did I.
In the course.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah. No, the Facebook group is now a heartbeat.
Ah, okay, good.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And you see there that every call is on Thursdays, which you are also.
Exactly. I'm re. I'm refilming everything right now, so you'll see more updated stuff. So BYOB started off as just one program and I've split it off into beginner and advanced to make it more digestible for people. So.
Yeah, but anyway, you did put the disclaimer that you're not going to edit it because, you know, you gave a very good reason. So. Yeah, but you also asked to tell you. But. So.
Yeah, no, no, no, totally. I'm. Yeah, so. And this is something you're going to go through too. If you ever create a digital course, you're going to make it and then you're going to have to refilm it and you're going to have to refilm it and then you're going to have to refilm it because little things.
Actually, there's a group that I was part of for many, many years, and the creator, she was really smart when she did it. She's like, I know my hair is going to be different throughout the years, like short and long. And so when she created the video, she had her hair tucked back and she was wearing a hat. And so in all of her content over. Over five years, you never see her hair. You just see this. It's like a knit hat. It's cute, right?
So.
And she. She explains it at some point, but, like, she's like, I knew. And so if you see her live content, right, she's got long hair, she's got short hair, she's got curly hair. But in her course, you can't tell. She's always wearing the same knit hat. It's kind of very good foresight.
Yeah. Yeah. So when you both get to the point where you need to do, like, professional photo shoots, make sure you've decided on your hairstyle for, like, the next year and a half, right? Because the worst thing is that, like, you, like, pay $4,000 for a photography session, and then you dye your hair three months later, and it's like, you don't look like that person anymore, you know? So anyway, we're at time, so I want to make sure we have time for make main takeaways and what your commitments are for the coming weeks. Who wants to go first?
I'll go first. I mean, so much everything from the video, like, what not to do and how to write a script. So thank you. My main takeaway is I better get ready to be visible with this May challenge of posting for 31 days. I'm gonna go, like, hug something in a min.
But.
But no, it's good. I'm ready, and it's perfect timing.
Okay, good. Also, you're allowed to do the ferret challenge at the same time. So if you're just posting pictures of ferrets, like, that counts too. Absolutely. Dog or. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Awesome. Thank you. And then Dina, a lot.
My mind is a lot about my. My mindset about, well, my relationship with money, how to speak in simple terms and not expert terms, my next steps, and, you know, thinking about naming the big goals in reverse engineering. And really, I can't wait. I can't wait to publish that post and start interviewing my potential clients. I cannot wait. Yeah, I really want to dive in, so. And I shouldn't rush, right? Because I thought that I'm going to do it today already, but then I realized that I'm not yet there.
Yeah, well, I mean, make sure you have all the pieces put in place and then do it. Because also, remember, the first time you post, probably no one's gonna see it, so you're gonna have to Post numerous times.
Okay.
Right. Don't, don't. Don't make like this thing, like the big moment. No, it's just a little moment and then there's another little moment and then there's another little moment.
Okay, okay. Okay. And how should I focus on this? Like, what do they want? Be very specific. So I just continue.
Continue to iterate it. Continue to iterate it. Do it, like, come up with one definition for the first couple posts. And then as you start getting interviews, if it's right on and you're attracting your ideal clients and they're giving you really helpful stuff, don't change it. But if it's not quite your right client, then you edit it and you come up with better language and you and I can, can brainstorm that in our calls together.
And I need. I mean, so now I. I can still send it to you in that, in that chain that we started. That I started.
Absolutely. Yeah.
Okay.
That's exactly what heartbeat is there for asking questions.
Okay, Perfect.
Cool.
And Katie, I cannot see stuff, but think about that. It's not visible. All your wisdom, I mean, it is enough. I'm telling you, like, I'm really like. And you know, I. I only worked with CEOs managing directors. Now I can get to show off. And when I speak to you, you're like the top. Thank you.
And you make it fun. Right? It doesn't have to be serious.
I'm.
I know.
I mean. Yeah, exactly, exactly. So, yeah, please, I mean, let. Let us reflect that back to you. That you're absolute genius in the way you make. Yes. Simple, accessible, and totally adaptable.
Thank you. Thank you very much. That means a lot.
Beyonce. Like, Beyonce. You know, shift the mind.
So that's Yvonne. How do your kids do it? Do they do it like this?
I can't do it.
I can't make fun of it.
So you know the sign language. I love you. I still use it because I can't. I can't do it. My fingers that way.
Yeah.
So funny.
Like, you're using the wrong fingers and I don't know.
I know.
Yeah, it's. I don't know, but it's funny to see how everyone does it differently. Anyway, that's my deflection because I was getting bashful. You know where to find me if you have any questions. We have our Friday call next week. Remember, we don't have this call, but we have sales lab at 1:00pm okay. So it's not different time. It's at 1:00pm my time. So that would be, I think, 7:00pm your time or something. I don't know, but it should be on your calendar.
Okay. Yes, I will. I haven't fixed it yet. I'm going to do it. Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And we'll talk about everything. Sales call.
Okay, cool.
All right. Bye, everyone. Have a good week.
Bye. Bye. Really good to be here. Bye.
