You know those online business coaches who tell you that you can make $100,000 in 90 days or you can build a seven figure business in under a year? You know they're bullshit, right? But here's the thing. A lot of people believe them because on their social media they're constantly posting pictures of being on private jets, of being at luxury resorts, of having all of these designer things. But do you know how easy it is to fake all that? And if you don't, I'm going to show you. So let's start with private jets. Here's an actual company based out of New York that rents out private jets for you. Photo shoots in, you get to choose between Gulfstream citations, Learjets, Hawkers, Falcons, and many more. And you can even do a helicopter photo shoot. And how much does this cost for two hours? Well, this is on the high end at $5,000 for a two hour photo shoot. I also found companies offering the same thing for fifteen hundred dollars. So here's how it usually goes down. So they partner up with a couple other influencers who are also trying to fake being super rich. They bring a ton of different outfits to this photo shoot and then they just continu Change their clothes. Change their clothes and take pictures of each other. Which means they're literally faking a year's worth plus of jetting around the world for anywhere from 1,500 to $5,000 and probably less because they're probably sharing this rental with a bunch of other people. But for the sake of math, let's just assume that they are paying the full rate themselves. That's $5,000. But Katie, what about all the expensive accessories that they're always toting around? Don't even get me started. You and I have both heard about Rent the Runway and all these different luxury item Rent. It is so easy to go and rent a really expensive handbag or really nice sunglasses or whatever you want to fake being rich. You can also easily get knockoffs because in a little Instagram picture, who can tell the difference? And then finally, the resort pictures. These people want you to believe that they basically live at luxury resorts. But in reality what they're doing is they're staying for one night and they're taking a fuck ton of pictures. So let's check out how much it costs to stay at a luxury resort for one night. Let's start off looking at luxury resorts in Miami, because let's be real, all these people seem to live in Miami and our pricing ranges from high 400s to 600. And remember, these are the base numbers for like a basic suite. You can spend a lot more, but still they're probably spending at tops $1,200 a night and they're probably sharing it with at least three other people. So here's what they typically do, because check in is not typically until about 3pm so what they do is they show up to these resorts early, like 10:00am and what happens when you arrive early to a luxury resort? Well, you're a guest, so they're going to give you access to the pool, to the restaurants, to basically all the amenities that you'll have access to during your stay. So right away they get to hop on over to the pool and start taking pictures. And not just any pictures, they're taking pictures in a bunch of different bathing suits and a bunch of different outfits. They're ordering the most expensive things on the menu and then they're taking pictures of them as if they're about to eat it. And remember, they have friends with them. So they're all doing this. And then throughout the rest of their stay they're taking pictures in the room. In all the different areas of this resort. They are collecting as much content as possible. This is not a relaxing stay for them. But at the end of the day they end up with a year's worth of content that will convince you, their viewer, that they can afford to stay in luxury resorts whenever they want. So let's do the math. Let's assume that they're paying for absolute everything. Okay, so they're spending $5,000 on renting a jet to do a photo shoot in. Let's just round up so that they're a member of a couple different like high end rental companies and say that they're spending about $500 a month on renting high end outfits. Okay? And then let's assume they are springing for a really, really nice hotel suite and that's $1,200. And let's just add another $500 for what they would spend on food. And for $7,200 they can convince you that they are a seven figure coach, that they have made a butt ton of money and that they can teach you how to make six figures in 90 days or seven figures in under a year. And remember, normally they're bringing other friends in. Okay? So this number is going to be cut down dramatically based on how many people they're splitting this with. And they're going to continue posting on social media telling you that there's something wrong. With you that you have the wrong plan, that you're to six figures in 90 days, which is ridiculous. No one gets to that. They're also going to make you feel like you're super behind because they've been in business for, like, a year and they're at seven figures already. No, they're not. They're faking it. Okay? Don't feel bad if your business is taking longer to ramp up. And stop following these guys. They're completely fake.
