Katie McManus challenges a man's dating struggles by pointing out he's looking in the wrong places. Women with their own money hang out with friends, read fantasy novels, travel, and want financially responsible partners, not status symbols. He needs therapy, a mindset shift, and to stop clubbing.
So where are the girls that are not gonna be with a man just for his money? The one that would just leave. There's actually a great marketing lesson here about how people go out there and they try to find their ideal partner or their ideal clients and they fail. And we will get to that. But first and foremost, I want to answer this guy's questions because, you know, he's obviously stuck. And I made a little list of all the things that will actually help him here so you can really understand where he's falling flat and finding his ideal partner. All right, so let's dive into the list, and then I will go into the marketing point that I'm going to make as a. As a business coach and strategist. All right? So number one, where are these women? Number one, they're out making their own damn money, okay? As a business strategist, I help a lot of them establish their businesses so they can make their own money and be self reliant, okay? They're not worried about how much money you're making, all right? They're worried about themselves. Number two, they're reading fantasy novels, okay? Specifically fantasy novels where the romantic interest is aware that they have to bring things to the table as well, and they actively do. So, all right? Women love this shit because it's what we want, okay? And it's also what we're not finding in the male population right now. Moving on. Number three, we're playing with our dogs. We, like, we have dog babies, we have fur babies. We might have cats. They bring joy to our lives, and we are investing time and energy in those relationships with them. Number four, we are also spending a great deal of time with our girlfriends and our platonic male friends. And we're spending time with them because these people make us feel good. They work hard to maintain those relationships, and they make us feel seen and understood in a way that we're failing to find in a lot of romantic situations. And number five, we're actually already traveling. And we're either traveling solo because we're sick and tired of having to manage and take care of the partner that came along with us who expects us to do all the work and all the coordinating, or we're traveling with our girlfriends and our platonic male friends, okay? So we're already out there experiencing culture, okay? We're just doing it either on our own or with our buddies. All right? Number six, this one's funny. We're already walking around wearing sweatpants. I don't know, like, if you have, like, Sweatpants, like, blind glasses on, if those are a thing. But we're already out in the world wearing sweatpants. Okay? It's just obvious that you're not talking to. To the women who are wearing sweatpants, all right? You're talking to the women who are dressed like they're going to go to the club. But we're out there. Believe me, we're there. Number seven. Yes, we are looking for men who are financially stable, but not because, like, that matters to us. It matters to us because we want men who we will not have to end up supporting. Supporting because they can't support themselves. You know, there's this myth that a lot of men are starting to believe right now that they're competing against, like, the top 10% of men. And, like, there are a bunch of different beliefs of, like, that being true and that not being true, but let's say it is true. Okay? Let's say you are competing against the top 10% of men who are out there for these women who are available. You know, what makes you think that they are the top 10% and what makes us think are the top 10% completely different? Okay? The men who believe this, the straight, single men, specifically, who believe this, think that it has to do with how much money you make, how big your house is, how fancy your car is, how good looking you are, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. That actually has very little to do with it. Okay? What women are looking for in their top 10% of men, if that's a thing, is, like, how much work you've done on developing yourself, like, how much therapy you've been to. Have you deconstructed your own shishmajani? And how do you treat women? We're looking for men who have rich social lives with relationships with their male friends that reflect the relationships we have with our girlfriends. Because one of the things that women are tired of is having to be everything for our male partners. Okay, we can't be that for you. Just like you can't be that for us. And yeah, sure, like, you know, it does matter that you're financially stable, but, you know, it doesn't matter if you're rich. It really doesn't. Like, as long as you are responsible with money and can pay your bills and are saving for retirement and not having to be reliant on us, then yeah, like that matters. But. But not as much as you think. Like, like it doesn't make a big difference if you're making a million dollars a year versus $200,000 a year, like as long as you are able to cover your own expenses and like be a full ass grown adult, that's what matters to us. Moving on. Okay, so we also, this is a big one. We only go for guys who use adult terminology for us, okay? So I know like in your little banner you use the term woman. Love that. But throughout your little tirade, you only refer to women as girls, all right? The women who you're talking about refer to themselves as women and only date men who refer to them as women. They are not girls. They're grown ass adults. All right? So that is kind of like where you're going wrong with this. Want to give you a little bit of advice and then I'm going to bring this to that marketing point for, you know, people who are starting businesses who maybe doing similar things in failing to find their ideal clients as this guy is doing in failing to find his ideal female partner. Okay? So number one, go to therapy, read some self help books, do some internal work as a money mindset coach. You know, the fact that you're so obsessed with this idea that women are only after you for your money, that tells me that you actually have a very deep seated belief that like, your value lies in how much money you have, right? And there's no way you're going to be open to a relationship where a woman, you know wants to be with you for your personality and for your inherent human value if you continue to hold that belief around, like your personal value being equated or being a result of your financial value. All right? You're a human. You're a human, I'm a human. We're all humans. We're all inherently valuable, okay? We all bring something really special to the table. And I know, like right now you can't see that you're. And you can't believe that there are women out there who would value you for something other than your money. But believe me, like, once you do the work and you understand what your value is and what you can bring to the table, you're no longer going to even have this consideration or this thought, all right? It's not even going to be in your, like, sphere of awareness that women would just come after you for your money. Okay? Next, you need to get out of the club. The fact that you know so much about the women in the club tells me you spend a lot of time in the club. The women that you want to be partnered with, you already know this. Are not in the club. Stop going there, all right? Also you need to stop following all the girls who only post bikini pictures on Instagram. Okay. How the technology actually works is Instagram and all the social media platforms show you more of what you're already looking for. Okay. So the fact that that's all you're seeing on Instagram tells me that that's all you're actually looking for on Instagram. So maybe diversify the types of women you're following on Instagram and TikTok. You know, if. If I were to throw out a suggestion, I would say booktok, these women who read are incredibly interesting and down to earth, and I think they would fulfill a lot of what you're looking for. But also they will have some very high standards for, you know, how you're going to show up intimately, because a lot of those books are raunch and very graphic. Okay. So maybe also start reading some of the fantasy books that they're reading. And for my friends who are watching this, who are starting businesses and are wondering, like, what is the marketing message here? Okay. First and foremost, like, if you don't understand your ideal client, just like this guy does not understand his, like, idealized partner, you're never going to find them. You're going to look for them in the wrong places. You're going to use the wrong terminology that will actually send them running to. To other people. Okay. One of the things that is so important when you start a business is to do market research and really understand, like, who it is that you want to help or be with and what it is that you would bring to the table that would make their life better and it would make it worth their time and energy and money to invest in you, either in a relationship or in hiring you to do something for them. You know, it's really tempting. Just go out there and just try to, like, take anything that will come your way. But what does that lead to? It leads to this kind of situation where you're frustrated and you're not getting what you want. And it. It's the same for relationships and for business. All right, so, like, figure out who are the people that you want to be with, where they're hanging out, and, like, what problems they need solved and then solve those problems. It's pretty simple. And hi, I help ADHD business owners make more money in less time by training you how to start and scale a business.
