Katie McManus (business strategist and money mindset coach) delivers a first-person spoken message about how repairing your relationship with money is emotionally difficult and often reveals deeper wounds after initial progress. She shares a candid anecdote ("I just cried in the shower"), admits imperfection as a coach, introduces the phrase "new level, new devil" to describe how new challenges appear after early healing, uses a childbirth/labor metaphor to explain why deeper work is harder, and warns that long-term discomfort is part of achieving financial freedom; she also identifies her client focus—ADHD business owners—and closes with a brief self-introduction.

So I just cried in the shower. The thing I always tell my clients is that when you do your money work, when you repair that relationship with money and you really face your fears and take true responsibility for how you're showing up with money in your life, it's fucking hard. It's really scary. And you have to own that you played a part in this. And while I coach on this, while I am a money mindset coach, and while I lead my clients through this, it doesn't mean I'm perfect. I've seen some shit and there are too many moments where I'm working with a client where they have done so much work, they have overcome all these major blocks and had all these mindset shifts and they get to this new level in their business and something really hard happens and they get super frustrated with me because they're expecting things to be easier because they've moved past the old blocks. Babes, have you heard of the term new level, new devil? Because yes, congratulations. You have healed some of the surface level wounds that you have with money. And there's this thing that happens with women when they're giving birth and they're, you know, not on epidural and they're feeling all the pain like they could have a broken leg and not notice the pain of the broken leg. When you heal your relationship with money, you're really just going through labor and then you notice some of the deeper wounds. And healing those deeper wounds is always going to be a lot harder than healing those initial surface level wounds. But if you want to live a life of freedom and flexibility and of abundance with wealth, then I'm sorry, but it's going to be really uncomfortable for a long time. But if I can survive it, you can survive it. Oh, and hi. I help ADHD business owners make more money in less time with fewer distractions. I'm Katie McManus, business strategist and money mindset coach and flawed healing human.
