Short motivational monologue (YouTube) by Katie McManus arguing that small business owners succeed by consistently showing up on social media. She frames the core problem as memorability rather than marketing, recommends posting regularly (or scheduling content), and positions herself as a practical business coach who helps new business owners replace corporate incomes by attracting ideal clients.
Listen, some days I don't feel like posting anything. I'm not really sure what I should be saying. It feels really hard. I don't really wanna, you know, take a shower, brush my hair, do my makeup, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and then think of something to say that you know, will hopefully attract my ideal clients. But here's the thing. People can't hire you if they don't know that you exist. It's pretty simple. Small business owners don't have a marketing problem. We have a memorability problem. Okay? So if you're a small business owner and you don't feel like showing up every single day, I get it. You're not alone. I teach this shit, I coach on this shit. And I don't feel like showing up every single day. But if you want to have a successful business, if you want people to hire you, then they need to know about you. Which means, I'm so sorry to tell you this, you're going to have to post. And you don't necessarily have to create content every single day. No, no, no, no. You can create content in advance and then just have it post every single day. But if you want to have a successful business where you're attracting your ideal clients regularly and you don't have any big slumps in your sales, then you're gonna have to learn how to be consistent even when you don't feel like it. And I say this as someone who is not perfect at showing up consistently everywhere, but when I do, I get consistent clients. I get not only consistent clients, but my ideal dream clients who are willing to invest in themselves by working with me. And the same is possible for you if you're just willing to get consistent and put yourself out there even when you don't feel like it. I'm Katie, your practical business coach. And new business owners work with me so they can leave their corporate 9 to 5 and replace their 6 figure income by doing work that they love.
