Is it the wrong time to start a business? #entrepreneurship #consulting #coaching #businesscoaching

A case for starting your business now despite uncertainty. Disney, Uber, and Airbnb all launched during crises. The speaker's clients who started during the pandemic are thriving, and waiting for the perfect moment means missing it entirely.
If you've been thinking about starting a business for a really long time, but you're looking around at the world right now and you're seeing all the uncertainty and you're thinking, oh, God, I don't know if this is the right time. It's the right time. Do you know how many successful businesses were started during the Great Depression, during the Great Recession, during COVID I'm talking Disney, I'm talking Uber, I'm talking Airbnb, and I'm also talking about all of the clients that I helped start their businesses through throughout the pandemic. There's always going to be some level of uncertainty out there in the world, and I get it. Like, right now, there's a lot. But you and I both know that you can really help people with the service that you provide. And we both know that your ideal clients are out there needing your help. Just because there's uncertainty, that doesn't mean that they don't have problems that you could help solve. And guess what? The fact that there's uncertainty means that your job is. Is likely uncertain. Especially with AI. If you're in an industry where AI is going to be disrupting it, then you absolutely want to diversify where your money comes from. So if you've wanted to start a business and you're waiting for the perfect time to launch it, stop it. There's never going to be a perfect time. Start now. Start before you feel ready. Even if you just have, like, five hours a week to get starting on it, do it. Worst case scenario, you'll fail and you'll learn so much. But best case scenario, you'll sign multiple clients. In a few months, you'll be able to build up enough of an income from this side business that you'll be able to leave your nine to five job if you want to. And in one, two, three years from now, you could absolutely be living your dream, having full control around how you spend your time. And by doing work that you love, it actually helps people. So go and start your business already. Stop being a weenie about it.
