Marie-Forêt 🌻 the brands j.Crew white labels, but has to keep on the DL

Marie-Forêt worked at J. Crew around 16 years ago and saw firsthand how the company white-labeled products, including cashmere from Loro Piana, while keeping the practice quiet. Employees knew about it, but written disclosure was restricted.
I'm a shoe person, and I have been sharing, like, my holy grails on my page. And, like, talking.
About this is exciting because I actually know something about this. And ironically, this is J. Crew, and this is J. Crew. And now that I'm making this stitch with your video, Bailey, I'm like, oh, my God, this neckline is terrible. But I just love the bumblebees. Anyway, yeah, so they white label like crazy. I worked for the company. Oh, God. Back in college, which I hate to admit makes.
It, like, 16.
17 years ago. Ew. And to be honest, I only really.
Worked there, like, four hours every two weeks.
And I was very honest when I applied. I just wanted a discount. But anyway, yeah, they white label a ton of stuff. And what was interesting working there is that they're not legally allowed to put it on their website.
They're not legally.
Allowed to put it into writing, but.
They are allowed to.
Tell their employees what is white labeled and what is not white labeled. And at least when I worked there, the two things.
That really stuck out.
To me in the white labeling department was their cashmere.
Was white labeled from.
Loro Piana, which, for anyone who knows cashmere or not.
But it was, like, a really, really.
Expensive brand. And I remember it just burned into my brain because I was. I was a college student, I was poor, and I was always really annoyed because I liked the look of some.
Of their shoes, except their shoes were.
Always super, super narrow. And I'm one of those, like, ogres of humans who.
Have really wide feet.
So it never worked for me. Anyway, that's what.
They white labeled way.
Back in the day. I don't know if it's changed. I don't know if they've added more, but I agree, those shoes are super cute.
