Marie Tillman how ferrets can help your consulting business… #adhdcoach #adhdbusinessowner #coaching

Short YouTube/transcript of Katie McManus explaining an unconventional marketing tactic—using a quirky, repeatable visual cue (ferrets/weasels) to build memorability on LinkedIn for small-business owners, especially ADHD entrepreneurs. She outlines concrete profile and posting rules, describes a daily-post 'no-ferret' challenge, and closes with a brief bio/offering (ADHD business coaching).

Say the weird thing, people are desperately seeking realness. If you have a business and you're posting on LinkedIn to get clients, you could probably just post pictures of ferrets, or any weasel for that matter, and still get clients. Here's how that would work. The first step is this. Your profile has to operate like a landing page. So it has to be super, super clear who it's for, what problems you solve, and what is the outcome that your clients will get if they work with you. Number two, your little headline that goes under your name, you have to be hyper specific about who you help, okay? So when people see pictures of ferrets, they're like, oh, this person might be relevant to me. Even though they're a little nuts and sharing pictures of ferrets. Number three, you'd have to be really consistent with your ferret sharing. Say that three times fast. Every single day, you'd have to post a picture of a ferret, a new picture with like a new conversation starter. Okay? And how this would essentially work is you'd share the picture of the ferret. People would be like, what the fuck is with this ferret? Like, why is there a ferret here on LinkedIn? Is this like the ferret convention? I don't really understand. And then they would look at your post for a little longer, trying to figure it out, but then they would see your picture and then they'd see your name. And so they're building, they're building that familiarity with who you are, right? Because you're just this person that shares ferrets. And then they'd see your tagline. And if in your tagline you are really specific about who you help, and they're like, hey, that's me. Then they're going to click on your profile, they're going to go and look at it and they're like, oh, my God, this person who shares ferrets helps people like me who have this problem and want this result. And I should probably follow this person. And then as people follow you, you want to connect with them and you want to go and comment on their content and you really want to build these relationships. And over a while, you'll be so memorable. Okay? You will be the ferret sharing person. And, you know, like, here's the thing about small businesses. We don't have a marketing problem, we have a memorability problem. Okay? So, like, if you can figure out something to make you memorable, ferrets, weasels, other odd animals, what have you, um, you're, you're gonna be memorable and you'll probably get clients. And this is actually an exercise I have my clients do if they're trying to build that skill of posting every single day is we do a no ferret challenge. And so basically we'll we'll decide on a period of time, be it like two weeks a they have to post every single day and if they don't post by a certain time in the day, like 3pm Then they have to go onto the interwebs and they have to find a picture of a ferret and they have to share that picture of a ferret. Feels so scary to them because it feels like so weird to be sharing pictures of random ferrets on LinkedIn. And yet they get to do that and post something weird and nothing really happens. No one really cares. You know, it's kind of funny in the comments. Oh and hi, I help ADHD business owners make more money in less time with fewer distractions by showing you how to discover your profitable niche. Show you how to create an offer that they are starving to buy and I teach you how to market and sell your services without wanting to vomit.
