Mistaken for an employee

So we're going to ignore that my ponytail just got this wet. But I just wanted to tell the story of this vest because one time I went to rei, and I spent the entire time in REI just completely pumped up because everyone kept coming and asking me questions. Like, I'm like, oh, my God, I look so outdoorsy right now. Like, they just think I look like I know what I'm doing in, like, camping situation. Mind you, I've only been camping, like, three times in my entire life, and people were coming up to me and asking me about, like, tents and shoes and kayaks and headlamps and all the things. And it wasn't until I went to check out that I realized that I was wearing this vest. This is basically the uniform of employees. They didn't think I looked outdoorsy. They thought I worked there. And it was a really disappointing day.
