She keeps defaulting to bawdy surprises and needs help brainstorming something actually appropriate for a first impression.

Life update. I signed up for a writing class, a fiction writing class, because I want to write a fantasy novel. I'm starting to think that I made a mistake because the class starts at 7pm and ends at 10pm on a Tuesday. And I'm old. I'm an elder millennial, and that's way past my bedtime. Also, this is only the second class and I didn't do the homework, but it's really not my fault. Okay. The assignment was to write like a two page story about someone who's just kind of going about a normal activity, and then they find something that surprises them. And the only things that I could think of that would surprise someone randomly were wildly inappropriate. And these people don't know me yet. Like, that can't be my first introduction to them. Like, here's Stephanie, she's gardening. She just moved into this house and she's digging and she's digging and wow, there's a trunk full of dildos. No. What else can surprise her? I don't know. Like, that's where my brain goes. So, I mean, this really could be a sign that I'm not destined to. To write a fantasy novel. I'm gonna stick with it though. I'm gonna have just like a little caffeine. Not, not too much because it's gonna keep me awake because I'm an old person, but just a little bit to give me that judge to stay awake and maybe think of something right before class tonight. Yeah, it starts in like 35 minutes. Also, I mean, I'm open to crowdsourcing ideas. I have no pride here. Okay, so if you have an idea of something that someone could do, normal activity, and then be surprised by another thing, please put them in the comments. I need ideas. I'll keep you updated how this goes.
