Self love/destruction

Katie McManus argues every action is either self love or self destruction, with no neutral ground. Staying in safe but unfulfilling jobs, procrastinating, and choosing comfort over growth are self destructive. Self love means setting boundaries, striving, and doing things that feel expansive even when they're hard.
So I did this meditation this morning and I got this wild download from the universe. And the basic message was that everything that we do is either self love or self destruction and there's no in between. So you may be staying with a job thinking, well, this is taking care of my base needs, I am making enough, I should be happy here. And that's actually from a place of self destruction because you are not serving your higher vibration doing that. And basically anytime you're staying in a situation with people doing things that are just easy, you know, it's just like the least miserable or whatever, you're settling. Those are all from a place of self destruction, okay? Because when we act from a place of self love, we do not settle. We do not look around, say, well, this is good enough, this is good enough, I should be happy. When we operate from a place of self love, we're always reaching for what that next level could be because we know what we deserve, we know what we're worth, and we know that the only way we're going to get it and the only way we're going to be able to express our love to ourselves is by trying harder striving, being more comfortable, being yourself, expecting others to treat you the way you treat yourself, that that is how we express our self love. And for people with adhd, it's really challenging because you have this idea that you're always supposed to be acting, you're always supposed to be striving and working. And when you're not, when you're just sitting there thinking about all the things you want to do, it feels like you are just procrastinating and acting from a place of self destruction. When really everything that we do has a self destructive side and it has a self love side. When you are paralyzed, when you cannot take action, you know, instead of looking at it as I'm procrastinating this, look at it from I need rest, I need to recharge, I need to just be with myself, I need to understand myself better, okay? Like we get to choose what we're doing from a place of self love or self destruction. I saw this video this week where someone was talking about, you know, how do you know that you're supposed to be going and doing this thing that's outside your comfort zone when it's scary. And the explanation was you have to decide, you have to really feel into is this scary? Does it feel expansive, like you are growing with it? Or does it feel restrictive like you have to stay here and it's going to be really painful. When it feels expansive, that is self love. When it feels restrictive, that is self destruction. So if you feel trapped, know that you're not acting from self love.
