Short YouTube monologue by Katie McManus recounting a humorous, self-inflicted email mistake while running her business: she sent a marketing email without a booking link, followed by a correction email, then panicked thinking she might have duplicated the link—ultimately relieved to confirm the first email indeed lacked the link. The clip normalizes small, embarrassing errors in entrepreneurship and reassures other business owners.

A business is full of embarrassing moments that are self caused. Case in point, it's Saturday morning, I'm caffeinating. I wrote an email to my list inviting people to book a generate income strategy Call with me. Beautiful email, told a good story, made good points. And as I was hitting send, I realized I forgot to provide the link. So then I wrote another email being like an oopsie email with like a funny gif and all the things, and I provided the link and as I hit send, I had this moment of oh shit, I didn't actually check the first email to make sure that I didn't, you know, provide the link. So then I had this moment of oh my God, like I thought I was just embarrassing myself because I forgot the link and I sent out the link, but what if I didn't forget the link and now people are getting an email with link and then another email saying, oops, I forgot the link, here's the link again. Like they're gonna think I'm nuts. And of course that's when the Internet slows down. So I'm feverishly like refreshing, refreshing, refreshing, trying to get into the first email to see if I actually forgot the link. And thankfully I did. Like, I've never been so grateful that I actually forgot a link in my life than I did in that moment. So yeah, if you ever feel like you're it up in your business, like you're messing up, like you're embarrassing yourself. I literally train people how to do this shit and I get it wrong. So don't feel bad, it happens to all of us. And also, if you're on my email list, go check your inbox because I have a pretty fun email for you in there.
