Katie McManus explains why ADHD business owners lose high-ticket sales: you're selling yourself instead of the outcome. A 50-75% no-rate means your pricing is right. Stop self-sabotaging by actually inviting calls.
If you're a business owner and you're doing your own sales calls and you're terrified of hearing no, then listen up, because here's the mindset shift that's going to change everything. And this is literally what I teach my clients, who start off making absolutely no money with no clients and build their businesses to multiple six figures. Hi. I help ADHD business owners make more money in less time with fewer distractions by showing you how to discover your profitable niche. Design an offer that they are starving to buy, and I train you on how to market and sell your services without wanting to vomit. I'm Katie McManus, business strategist and money mindset coach. Coach. Main problems that usually happen for a new business owner who's trying to sell their services and kind of not doing so great, the first thing is that you actually sabotage yourself from ever even getting on the sales call. Okay? So you might be like promoting yourself online, networking, talking about your business a lot, but you're not actually inviting anyone to book a call with you. And whenever someone does show some interest, you find a way to slow it down and then they never book, right? Or when you're on the sales call with this person who seems super interested in working with you, by the time you get to the portion where you're supposed to invite them to work with you, you completely chicken out because you're so terrified that they're gonna be like, no, you're not worth that. I'm not gonna pay that kind of money. And I just want to tell you it is so normal to be afraid of that kind of rejection. All right? Even my clients who come from a sales background, like I said, have to go through a new sale sales training when they go to sell their services. Because selling something like a car or a house or software as a service is separate from you, right? When you're selling your service, you feel like you are selling yourself. You are selling, like the essence of who you are. And here's the shift that's going to turn it all around and make it way easier for you to be confident on a sales call and sign high paying clients. Clients. And here's the thing, you have to shift this belief that someone is buying you. They're not buying you. They don't care about you. They may like you, they may feel connected to you, but they are not just thinking, oh, this lady Tracy, I would love to give her $7,000 today. No, I mean, if you're Tracy and that happens for you, great. But no, that's not what your clients are thinking. Your clients are thinking about the problems that they have, and they're thinking about who they want to be in the future who doesn't have this problem. And they're getting on the phone with you hoping that you're going to help them go from current problems and not having what they want to future them without those problems. Who has exactly what they want? They're not buying you, they're buying future them. They're buying the possibility that they get to be this future person who has the thing that they want, who no longer has the problems that they're struggling with right now. They are paying for that. And sometimes when they're on a sales call with someone who can help them go from where they are right now to where they want to go, throughout that conversation, they realize, huh, I don't actually want that thing. Actually, there's something else that I want. Actually, like, what is now possible for me by working with this person, I'm realizing it actually doesn't matter to me that much. I'm not actually willing to spend the money on has very little to do with you. And it has everything to do with them. Discovering if this is actually worth it to them. And once you make this shift, once you really see that that is what your clients are actually buying from you, it becomes so much easier to be confident on a sales call, to name your high ticket price and to accept them when they say yes or no. And really, any business who's hearing yes 100% of the time, you're undercharging, okay, As a healthy business who's charging the right amount, you should be hearing no 50 to 75% of the time. Which means out of four people, two to three of them should be saying no to working with you. All right, that is a really healthy pricing strategy. And if you're hearing no on a sales call, it's not a failure. It means you have a good business. And if you have any other fears or questions about your sales call, please pop them in the comments and like. And follow if you found this helpful.
