The number 1 thing that will keep you from being more successful- is your shame

Katie McManus delivers a short motivational YouTube talk arguing that shame and fear of others' judgment are the primary limits on business success. She uses public-figure examples (Kim Kardashian, actors, musicians, politicians) to show that removing shame enables visibility and wealth, and closes by pitching her coaching services for ADHD business owners to improve niche, offers, and marketing.
If you're a super hard working, talented business owner and you're wondering why you're not more successful in your business, I have the answer. And it's not that you need to work more hours, and it's not that you need to go and get another certification and more training. You, my friend, need to let go of some shame. Because the thing that is actually keeping you and your business small and keeping it from that level of success that you want to reach is the fear you have around what other people are thinking, what they're going to say about you, and all the judgment that you're actually putting on yourself. I mean, think about it. Think about Kim Kardashian, for instance. You know, whatever your feelings are on that person, what does she actually do? She had a sex tape released and then she had to be shameless about it. And then she had a lot of visibility and she maximized it, she ran with it, and she's made a ton of money as a result. There are actors and actresses who frankly are not that good, but they don't have any shame. There are musicians who aren't as good as other musicians and they don't have any shame. And they're massively successful. Hell, there are a lot of politicians right now who have no business running for office, and yet they're pretty successful. There are quite a few people who went to an Ivy League college you could probably skate by on daddy's money who are massively successful in business and make a ton of money. The thing that they all have in common is not their talent. It's not. I mean, it might be their talent, it's not their work ethic. It is the fact that they don't have any shame. They don't let the fear of what other people are going to say about them hold them back from putting themselves out there and going for their dreams. So if you have a massive juicy dream that you want to go after, if you want to be incredibly successful and you're not there yet and doesn't look like you're getting there anytime soon, start thinking about the things that you feel shame around, Start looking at what you're afraid might happen if you share that thing about yourself. And I will even venture to say that if you're too afraid to share a picture of your own face, a selfie on social media to promote your own business, then it's going to be very hard for you to reach the level of success that you want in your business, because the level of your shame will always be the glass ceiling to your success. Oh, and hi. I help ADHD business owners make more money in less time with your distractions by by showing you how to discover your profitable niche. Design an offer that they are starving to buy. I train you on how to market and sell your services without wanting to vomit. I'm Katie McManus, business strategist and money mindset coach. Now go be more shameless.
