Hate to be the one to tell you this, but members poop in the showers. I don't care how nice your gym is, whether it's a super cheap one or it's just a part of your country club that's like $50,000 a year. I guarantee you that the staff has to clean up the most disgusting messes out of the showers on a regular basis. I know this because I used to work for a high end fitness company and I have friends who work at gyms across the spectrum. This is an issue that happens everywhere. And I know you're probably thinking it's probably just dudes, right? Yeah. Yeah. It's not. The most notorious shower pooper I have ever heard of was a middle aged woman who is extremely wealthy who lived in Marin county, which is just north of San Francisco. My best friend used to sell membership at the country club that she belonged to and she did it so frequently that they were able to figure out it was her because each and every time it happened, it correlated exactly with her check ins to the gym. And why the hell am I telling you this? Well, for one, this is one of the reasons I will never own a gym. And two, it's honestly just such a great metaphor for why my clients hire me. Oh, and hi, I'm Katie, your practical business coach. And if you're starting a business for the very first time, there are going to be so many things that you don't know because you just haven't done it before. Like how to manage your time, market work, sell to clients, create an offer, deal with all the stress and uncertainty that comes with running a business and so much more. And you can do it all on your own. You can figure it out, but it's a lot easier when you have a partner, someone who is in your corner who knows what's coming and can help you figure out how you're going to navigate it. You were opening a gym and you didn't know that shower poopers were a thing. Probably be nice for someone to tell you about shower poopers so you can figure out how you're gonna deal with them, Right? So that's reason number two why I'm sharing this. And also number three, please, for the love of God, wear flip flops in every public shower. Okay? Everyone just wear, wear flip flops, please, for my sake, for your sake, for everyone's sake, just do it. Oh God, my parents are gonna be so proud of me. I'm making videos about shower poopers.
