What’s the max amount of money you can make in a year- money mindset lesson from a practical

Short motivational monologue about how people hold subconscious limits on how much money they believe they can make or raise in a year. The speaker argues those internal caps cause self-sabotage as earnings approach the perceived maximum and recommends doing money-mindset work to expand those limits when building a business or fundraising.
What's the max amount of money you think you can make in a year? Yesterday, I had the gall to tell someone that I believed that they could raise $200,000 for their political campaign. And they got so big mad at me, it was like I insulted their mom and every single one of their ancestors. And when people get mad at me for believing that they can make money or raise money or anything to do with money, I don't really take it personally because I know it has nothing to do with me. It has everything to do with what their belief around money is. And everyone has a belief around what their max amount of money that they can make in a year, that they can fundraise, that they're allowed to ask for is. And whatever you believe that max is, you will always cap out at it. So whatever you decide is your limit, you will actually self sabotage when you start reaching that limit so that you don't pass it. Which is why when you're starting a business and you have a massive money goal, it is so critically important to do the work on your money mindset so you don't sabotage yourself. And so many people don't even realize that they're putting this limit on themselves. It's something that is just so inherently baked in from their upbringing, from whatever jobs they've had while they've worked in corporate, and from what they've perceived in their peer group. And the crazy thing about this is that people don't even realize that they're doing it. They don't realize that they have this number in their mind that is supposed to be their cap. It's usually something that's so subconscious that when they're first asked this question, they're like, what do you mean I don't have a cap? And then they start thinking about it, and then they really start delving into, well, how much money have I always made? What do I think would be like, the realistic amount? And that word, realistic is a really ugly word when we're talking about our goals and dreams. Because realistic is not always what's realistic. It's what your nervous system and your brain think is possible and safe for you to have, and that's it. And if you're trying to build a business to multiple millions of dollars, but you have a limit of like $200,000, guess where you're going to tap out? Unless, of course, you do the work to repair your relationship with money until you do the work to correct the beliefs you have about money and what is possible for you. So Next time you get activated by someone believing in you or giving you a massive goal, pay attention to what's going on in your body. Notice what belief system gets triggered. Because that, my friend, is your toxic relationship with money showing its ugly face.
