You might be scaring money away without even realizing it… #solopreneurship #smallbusinessowner #coa

Short motivational/educational YouTube monologue by Katie McManus aimed at ADHD business owners about changing negative money mindsets. The speaker argues that talking negatively about money repels it (framing money as energy), uses a high-school crush analogy to illustrate how negative speech pushes something away, reframes money as neutral and amplifying of character, and ends with a brief self-introduction and call-to-action.
If you're an ADHD business owner and you're struggling with money, then I have a question for you. How do you talk about money? Most people, when asked this question, will answer something like, oh, I don't care about money. Money doesn't matter. I care about all these other things way more than money. Money is the root of all evil. Money is what selfish, greedy, awful people want, and they don't realize it. But by talking about money that way, they're actually scaring money away from them. And if you think about money in the same way, I want you to imagine this. You're back in high school. You're walking down the hallway, going to your next class, and you realize that you're right behind your crush. And one of their friends, they're having a whole conversation. They don't realize that you're right behind them in earshot. And as you listen, you realize they're talking about you. So of course you are listening, hanging on to every single word. But then you hear your crush, someone that you admire and are so attracted to, see these things, oh, they don't matter. I don't care about them. I care about all these other things way more than them. That person is actually the source of all evil, and only really terrible people would care about them. And remember, this is your crush. Someone that you are deeply attracted to and want to like you, who's saying these awful things about you. After hearing that, would you want to hang out with them? Probably not. Actually, in that moment, you might even hang back and run into the bathroom and start crying and start avoiding that person going forward. Because like any rational human, you're not going to want to spend time around someone who says such terrible things about you. Well, guess what? If you're talking about money in that way, guess what's happening. And I know you're probably thinking, well, Katie, money's not an actual person. It can't hear me talking about it. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And here's the thing. No, money is not a person. But money is energy. Just like love, just like attention. And energy goes where it's invited. And if you're talking about money or love or attention in any of those ways, you are literally putting up a block, telling it that it is not welcome near you. So if you want to start making more money, if you want to start growing your wealth, if you want to start calling money into your world, you have to change how you talk about it. Because just like how you wouldn't feel safe around your crush, if they were talking about you in that way, money will not feel safe near you if you continue to talk about it in the way you do. And if you have any fear around what it'll mean about you if you admit that you like money and that you want money. If you think that admitting those things will mean that you are not a good person, then babes, we have some deeper work to do here. Because money in itself does not make you a bad person. Money will only make you more of who you are. So if you're a good person, money will only make you better. And hi, I help ADHD business owners make more money in less time with your distractions.
