I had an athlete come to me. He, he's a really talented football player. His mom actually reached out to me and said, my son plays both ways. And in the fourth quarter, you see him absolutely hit a wall. His performance just drops off. And it's so frustrating for him because he's playing his butt off quarter 1, 2, 3. He's working so hard in the weight room, on the field. He's doing all these things. And then in the quarter where it matters most, he is tanking. He is toast and he's very frustrated about it. And then it turns mental. Right? It, it gets in your head and like, why can't I do this? My conditioning isn't paying off, I'm not working hard enough. And it just gets mental to where his performance decreases even more. So this athlete came in and he was missing fuel. He was running on empty by the fourth quarter. And we're going to talk about the actual protocol that we put him on on game day later, but the main thing that he was missing is carbs.
