Hundreds of parents ask me about supplements for their 11 to 15-year-olds, especially creatine. Creatine can be great. There's limited amounts of studies for adolescents on this, so use it at your own risk. If your athlete is dialed in on their food, dialed in on their sleep, and dialed in on their electrolytes and hydration, then it can be a really good option, especially if they're lifting, to take creatine. If they're not doing any of those 4 things, then they, you have no business looking into creatine for them. That being said, the couple supplements that can be awesome for any athlete to take are omega-3s and vitamin D. Those can be found in a multivitamin. It can be great for them. Vitamin D is really hard to get in food. So if you had to look into a supplement for them, those would be two that I'd really encourage.
