One of the professional athletes that I work with, by the time he would hit mid-season every single year, he would either be dealing with a strained quad or a strained hamstring or a strained oblique, and he would lose about 10 pounds, which was affecting his power and his performance and his ability to play well. He knew that if this cycle kept on happening over and over again, there's no way that his body could stay healthy enough to have a long career. But right now he is midway through his season and he feels stronger than ever. He is maintaining his weight. He has no injuries at all. And the one thing that he really dialed in on and changed is his nutrition. One thing that you can do that he does is eat at least 3 meals, 2 snacks, and 1 recovery shake every single day, especially if you're in the middle of the season and your activity level is high. Those meals should be a performance plate, and this is what a performance plate looks like.
