Here's how you need to fuel if you're training twice a day or if you have a doubleheader. Rule number 1 is you gotta be following the sandwich method. And what that means is you need to make sure that your practice is sandwiched with food. You need to eat before practice, you need to eat after practice. You need to eat before the game, you need to eat after the game. And you need to be doing that each game. So that might look different depending on when your practices are, how close the games are, but please make sure that you're always eating, competing, and eating again. The biggest thing you wanna focus on here is carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are the gas that runs your body, and you need those on game day or on heavy practice days. Stuff to be packing into your bag are PB&Js, dried mangoes, apples, bananas, granola bars. Any of those things will be great options to keep you fueled throughout those long practices or games. The last thing I would say is you gotta make sure that you're staying hydrated with water and electrolytes. Electrolytes is what keeps your body from cramping, especially when you're sweating a lot. So you need to make sure that you're bringing electrolytes to both of those practices or both of those games, especially if you're in really hot weather outside. Thank you.
