Training on an empty stomach tanks your blood sugar and energy, cutting into your workout performance. Eating a snack or meal 60 to 90 minutes before you train stabilizes blood sugar and lets you do more work in the gym.
Fasted training versus eating before you train for athletes. When you show up to your workout fasted, your blood sugar is low, which makes your energy low, which makes your ability to do work in the gym low, which makes your results low. But when you show up having eaten a snack or a meal before your training, your blood sugar will be stable, which makes your energy high, which will allow you to be able to do more work in the gym, which will allow you to see more results because of the work you're able to put in. So 60 to 90 minutes before your workout, make sure you're eating a snack.
