All right, athletes, it's your last reel of the night. It's time to lock your phone, put it away, and get your butt to sleep because sleeping tonight is going to do two very important things to you. Number one, it's going to help your body and your muscles recover. When you're in the weight room, when you're working out, you are tearing down your muscles. Muscles have to be torn down. It has like little micro tears in them in order for them to be built back stronger. The tearing down happens in the workout, but the building back happens when you are sleeping. So if you are working your booty off in the weight room, but you're not sleeping, you're throwing that hour in the weight room away. Number 2 is it's going to give your brain recovery. There's something called your central nervous system. The central nervous system is basically the commander of your whole entire body. It makes decisions for you. It helps with all your movement. Every single thing you do throughout the day, your central nervous system is helping you do. Your brain gets tired, guys. If you don't get sleep, you're gonna have lower reaction time, which means when you show up to practice or to your game, you're not gonna be as sharp. Your mental performance is gonna suffer. You're gonna be slower off the line. You're gonna feel more sluggish through your playing. You gotta give your muscles and you gotta give your brain time to rest. And that is with 8 hours of sleep. So get to bed. You still watching this? It's bedtime. Go to bed.
