College coaches aren't looking for athletes with six-packs. They're looking for athletes that can outperform the competition. In my coaching group, I have so many athletes asking me, how can I cut weight? How can I get leaner? How can I get a six-pack? How can I get smaller? When in reality, they don't need to get leaner. They don't need to have a shredded six-pack. They don't need to be as small as possible. They need to be focusing on the things that are going to allow them to outperform the competition— getting stronger, getting faster, having better plyos, more explosive, dialing in on your nutrition and recovery, focusing on the things that will actually turn them into the athlete that they want to be. Now, having a six-pack is not a bad goal. However, it is not a a requirement for you to go play at the next level.
