I'm committed to each one of you walking out of here with at least three or four things that you can take and use immediately. I'm Kevin McCann, CEO and President of the Executive Strategy Group, and we're a management consulting firm that focuses on integrating corporate strategy, marketing, and sales into one outbound revenue capture model focused exclusively on increasing corporate revenues. We're not just a consulting company that sits high up on the pillar and looks down and coaches strategically. We also talk tactics. So because I grew up through inside sales, through getting promoted to outside sales, moving out to Silicon Valley, where I had to really, you know, beat the street, so to speak, and then ultimately running a company and knowing what it took to do that in the trenches, that history and my experience has really helped me to see it from all perspectives.
He'll tell you exactly how it is, and. And I think at first you might be taken back a little bit by, wow, I can't believe he can see those things or would say those things, but really, he says them from the heart. He wants to make a difference for you.
When I say, why do people buy from you? Or why do prospects buy from you? Well, because we got great price or we got great customer service, I say, baloney. Let's drill that back. Who says they've got bad customer service? Okay, great. So you're just like your competitors. Why do they really buy from you? And we keep forcing them to peel back and really do the work to look at deep inside. What is the difference between you and the other folks out there? So I don't allow them to sugarcoat their answers to me. And I think because of that, we really do some extraordinary things when we're peeling back that onion. We're going to create paradigm shifts today. All right? So the goal here is to look at things through a different set of glasses. We have fun with it. We make it a process that it takes the questions out of it takes the gray area, and takes the pain out of it. Because when you know what you need to say, you know who you're talking to, and you know the pain of those people before you even make the phone call. It really takes the cold out of cold calling. I did Ironman Canada and Penticton British Columbia, in 2000, and I trained a year for it. The parallel there is that when I show up at these companies or my customer sites, you can't just flip a switch and all of a sudden things are going to get better. There's preparation that needs to be done. There's pre work that has to be done. We need to know who the prototype prospects are. We need to create those lists, we need to pull them into our database. And that's the training period. That's that year where you're doing the, you know, the brick workouts, the run, the swim, the bike, and getting ready for the big day. Well, we're going to go out to market in a way that we never have before. But we've done the homework, we've done the pre work, we've done the setup so that once we get on the road, we're ready to go and it doesn't hurt anymore.
I'm more successful, I'm making more money. I'm contributing to my team in a whole different way than I was before because Kevin has actually shown me how to look at the whole sail.
I've got the war scars, you know, the battle wounds of being in the trenches and selling and winning and losing and getting beat up in the field. And for me to be able to take those experiences and try to condense them and bring them to people in a way that they've never seen before and make them immediately, you know, relevant, this is my passion.
