Hi there, it's me, Kevin McCann. And in this video I'm going to show you how to create a list of target prospect accounts by using a free online resource called A to Z databases. So if you notice, I've logged into or just gone to my local library, Portsmouth Public Library, and most libraries across the country have access to this database. I'm going to show you. So here for Portsmouth, it's research and databases. So on your own library, check that out. And then inside there's a bunch of different databases that they've licensed the ability to access. And the one we're going to look at is A to Z databases. And this replaces Reference usa. So if you have done this in the past, you probably saw Reference USA or Refusa. So I'm going to click on that. And for our library, it asks for my library card number and my PIN number. We'll enter that and this takes us into the database. So A to Z databases. So if you look here, it shows 30 million business and executives and we're going to do a B2B search here. So business to business search. So we'll get started there and then we're going to narrow the geography. In fact, I'm going to do this for a sample search for a prospect or a client that I'm trying to help out. And we're going to focus on a radius around a particular address or a zip code. So the zip code that we're going to do this around is we'll use portsmouth for instance. So 03801 I'm going to verify. We're going to go for 50 mile radius and we're going to verify. Okay, that looks verified. So now what we're going to do is we're going to pick companies and you can pick different criteria of companies. So you could go by business name and executive. In our case here, we're going to go by business size and we're going to click on employee size. So the list that we want to generate is for companies that have at least 20 employees and up in this 50 mile radius outside of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. So let me select multiples here and we'll go up to 1000. So basically what we're searching for is companies that have employees from 20 to 1,000 employees that are a 50 mile radius outside of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. So let's do a search and here's what we come up with. 22,000 businesses. Holy cow. So 22,000 and I believe you can actually download the list by clicking on this here. Let me select on all the companies first. You can download the list. You can download it to Excel and we'll just go continue. And then once you have it, we'll open it up and show you what you've got. So inside of that database. And this, I believe, is only going to show us the first page, right? So you can, you can download the first page. Let me make this a little bit bigger so everyone can see it. So in this case, it grabbed the Portsmouth Fire Department, Portsmouth Clinic, Portsmouth International Airport, psim. So the nice thing is that we can drill down into each one of these and we can select or deselect. Like for instance, if I wanted to deselect the fire department, then it wouldn't download those. But the nice thing here is that with this database, I can go and look inside each one of these companies. So for instance, click Global Relief Technologies. Here's the profile of that company. And if I make it a little bit bigger so you can see it, you can see roughly what their revenues are annually. You can see the year they incorporated. You can see number of employees, the industry that they're in. So also the key executive title and a phone number. So this is a fantastic resource. Again, it's free. And leverage it to your heart's content. Oh, look at this. Contact this company quickly by using that QR code. So a lot of great insight into your local companies or companies that you're trying to create a target list for. Hope this was helpful. Have a great day.
