Two neighbors in rural Florida watch someone spray glyphosate without protective gear or concern for drift. Their papaya trees are especially vulnerable to the herbicide drifting across the street. Both worry the careless application will damage their garden.

Again, they're not really freaking out too much about where that stuff's going other than everywhere. Yeah, they're behind my tree. Here you go. So these are the guys who are spraying herbicide across the street from us and not being like especially careful about physical drift. I mean, it's, you know, just like hosing down the weeds or the plants across the street. Not a whole lot of concern about where it's, you know, what's going on. We got our whole garden sitting over here, and, you know, we got to deal with if we have any drift issues. Doesn't seem like the best way to do this. Guy with a hose. Maybe see a little better. I'm sure this is a OSHA compliant.
I mean, it's really funny. I mean, the guy has— he's not wearing any personal protective equipment, and there's not a whole lot of sense about where physical drift is going. He doesn't even have gloves on. He's just out spraying whatever he's spraying. He didn't— we asked what it was, he said weed killer. So chances are it's probably glyphosate, which, you know, no big deal in terms of, you know, what it is, but just the drift could be a problem.
You know, we got a garden, we got sensitive trees. Papayas are super sensitive. Oops, where are we? Papayas are super sensitive to glyphosate, and we got a bunch growing over here. So, you know, just a Very strange situation, but what do you want? Living out in the middle of rural Florida, sometimes things are not always cracked up the way they should be. Talk to you later.
