After 34 years, the speaker realized life is about transforming yourself, not collecting experiences. When hardship doesn't disappear, the answer isn't escape but a shift in how you see it. So it took me 34 years of life to get this. It's windy. Gross. Maybe like this whole life thing isn't about what we experience or what we get or what we obtain, but about who we become. I saw this post that says, does anybody have the ETA on this too shall pass? What do we want to pass? Our situation, pain, suffering, all the things. Huh. Like, prayed was like, God, please take this thing Please fix this thing. But then, like, God didn't, because sometimes God doesn't. But Paul wasn't like, I'm gonna walk away from the faith, and I'm gonna stop going to church because God didn't. No. Ew. It was a perspective change. He was like, oh, this thing that I have causes me to be dependent and fully reliant on you. And so I am different as a result of this thing that I have that is not going anywhere. Maybe our situation won't change. Maybe things won't get better. But maybe we're supposed to get better.
