Bora - Intranet Home Page

Hi, this is Koe from Knowledge Architecture. Let's check out Bora's homepage on their intranet Chaco, named after the animal and wooden Bora sculpture that has become the office mascot. Starting off with the community navigation, we have Projects as the first header with several filtered project directory views, some of which are pretty standard, but also the 2030 dashboard directory which is used to track project data for the 2030 challenge. The employees NAV also has some filtered employee directory views. This one shows the days employees are in the office, which employees maintain themselves via a custom field on their profiles and a page with information about updating your personal data in vision and on synthesis. Orientation has some firm background, quick resources and intranet information. Volta, which is their new highly sustainable office, has details about Office Essentials, an Office Energy performance modeling page which I will resist clicking on in this video, and a private community for office operations and finally Culture, which includes an Office365 calendar, Committees, groups and Bora approved recommendations for things like kids activities, resources, restaurants and adventures in the Portland area. Here on the homepage we have the Activity Stream block in classic layout with Share Something enabled and in the right column the top 30 trending hashtags in a cloud using the Chaco Accent color. The Birthdays and Anniversaries block comes next, showing up to 10 employee birthdays and yearly anniversaries that are coming up in the next 14 days. Below that is the classic embed for the firm's Instagram feed and then a list of suggested hashtags by category, using text links for each hashtag to take you to the corresponding post page. Bora's homepage includes the basics for sharing updates and trending topics, quick access to the resources and tools that employees need to access on a daily basis, and a clear emphasis on health, climate and equity, which are the core tenets of their mission.
