A short video walkthrough by Koei (Knowledge Architecture) of Boulder Associates’ "I’m new here" onboarding page on their intranet, Biscuitnet. The presenter describes the Helpful Links grid (color-coded icons for home, HR/accounting, projects/practice, technology), contact tables, right-column navigation blocks (including Intranet champions email and Intranet 101 link), forms (photo release, business cards), and a year-long onboarding program. The page uses horizontal rules and collapsible sections to make long content digestible and features friendly language, humor, and bright colors to welcome new employees.

Hi, this is Koei from Knowledge Architecture. Let's take a look at Boulder's onboarding resources on their Intranet biscuitnet. As a new employee opening the welcome page, it's clear which link you are meant to click first and once you are done getting familiar with the office pets, you can go back and click the I'm new here link. And here we are. The Helpful Links section is a curated basic navigation block in grid format showing resources from across. The block uses color coded stock icons that correspond to the different orange for home, blue for HR and accounting, red for projects and practice and green for technology. We've got a nice mix of culture, logistics and technical information. Below that is a table indicating whom to contact with questions about particular topics. In the right column we have three additional basic navigation blocks in the same format. If you can't find what you need, click here to send an email to the Intranet champions. There's also a guide to using Biscuitnet which you can find out more about in the intranet 101 section of the Design Inspiration Gallery. Under that are links to fill out forms for photo release and business cards. Finally, we have the onboarding program for a more in depth understanding of BA communication tools and each employee's role and professional development within the firm. These resources are meant to support a year long process of onboarding. The text is broken up into categories using horizontal lines and within each category are collapsible sections making what would otherwise be a very long page of text more digestible. In the right hand column is a basic employee block and then a table of contents block which automatically displays the text formatted with headers in the left column. With friendly language, humor and fun colors, the I'm new here page presents a welcoming and approachable landing for new employees. Thank you to Boulder for allowing us to share their I'm new here page. Please reach out if you have any questions and happy building.
