Koei from Knowledge Architecture walks through Consor Engineering’s Office Resources section on their intranet beacon. The Office Resources include a directory table listing every office with address, phone, and two key contacts, plus per-office pages linked from the table. Each state page uses navigation blocks with state-outline icons and a description that shows the number of offices in that state. Example walkthroughs: Connecticut (Rocky Hill office) shows image blocks (landscape, parking aerial), suggested hotel link, mini Yelp guide (where to eat/what to do), and right-column details (address, Wi‑Fi password, employee contact blocks, services list). Colorado’s offices are presented in collapsible sections and use a table-of-contents block for navigation; Florida is noted as having many offices and benefits from the TOC. Hi, this is Koei from Knowledge architecture. With over 70 locations across North America, it's not surprising that Consor has a detailed Office Resources section on their intranet beacon. To start, Consor created a directory of all the offices in a table block with the name, address, phone number, and two key contacts for each location. To find out more about each office, you can click the link to Office Resources. The Office resources page includes two basic navigation blocks with images and descriptions enabled. Each NavBlock link displays the state's outline selected from the built in stock icon library, the name of the state as the title, and the number of offices in that state listed in the description. I'll click into an example of a single office location first, starting with my home state, Connecticut. This particular office is in Rocky Hill. So we start with a single image block showing a lovely rocky hill landscape and then an aerial view of where to park. There is a suggested place to stay with a text link to the hotel's website and then a mini Yelp guide for where to eat and what to do while visiting this location. The where to Eat and what to do sections were created using basic image blocks with titles and descriptions enabled. The title is the name of the venue and the details are multiple lines added to the description text field. External links were added to the images in the Manage Images section of the image block. Settings. Hopefully you'll have time to attend a show, cast a dinosaur footprint, and ride a roller coaster while you're here visiting. In the right column you'll find the office address, WI FI password, employee blocks with key office contacts, and a bulleted list of services offered. Now, Colorado has offices in three different locations. If I click in here, you can see that they have been separated into collapsible sections. With all of the sections expanded, I can use the table of contents block in the right column to jump down to different locations. This is especially useful for a place like Florida with 14 different offices. With so many locations across the country, Consor's office resource page enables each office to welcome visiting employees so they can easily get up and running and enjoy their stay instead of wasting time searching for parking and the WI FI password.
