Introducing Synthesis AI Search Filters

A short demo-style transcript where Christopher Parsons (Knowledge Architecture) introduces Synthesis AI search filters, demonstrates narrowing searches using Library and Community filters with marketing examples, and shows other filters (content type, last updated, application, hashtag). The walkthrough emphasizes generating AI search summaries and targeted Top Results and closes by inviting feedback.

Hi, this is Chris with Knowledge Architecture. I'm going to introduce you to our latest AI search filters. I'll start out with a couple marketing examples since that is the use case which drove this feature initially. I'll search on what's our approach to mass timber and synthesis, will search across all the content on the intranet, including pages, posts, documents and videos, and then generate a search summary using AI by looking at Top results. You'll notice that Synthesis contains a variety of resources on mass timber, including documents, videos and pages. Let's say I want to narrow down the search to knowledge from our boilerplate library in the marketing community. I'll click on the Library filter, select Boilerplate Library and click Apply. My search will regenerate and boom. There's my new summary and top results which has been constrained to documents in the boilerplate library. Nice. I've searched ahead on projects with floor to ceiling glass walls and you'll see that several project sheets from our marketing community were returned in Top Results as well as a couple pages from the Standards and Codes section of our projects and practice community. I'll click on the Community filter, select Marketing and click Apply. My search will regenerate and there you have it, a more targeted summary and set of top results. Going beyond marketing examples, you can use filters for a wide variety of use cases. For example, I searched on one CJP initiative overview which I know was mentioned on our last town hall, and I'll filter on content type is video to get a summary of what was said about the one CJP initiative at the town hall. Cool. As you can see, you can also filter on last updated. The default is on or after, which is handy for finding your most recent content, but you also have multiple other options to choose from to narrow down your search. And under more you'll find additional filters for application, either synthesis or Zendesk Guide where you can pick a specific guide and hashtag where you can limit your search to posts containing a specific hashtag. So that's it for this introduction to Synthesis AI search filters. Please send us any questions or comments and happy filtering.
