In this product demo, Christopher Parsons, a global administrator for Knowledge Architecture, walks viewers through the end‑to‑end setup of the Synthesis for Revit add‑in. He begins by navigating the Synthesis Settings to download the installer, noting that the add‑in supports Autodesk Revit 2024 and later, and demonstrates how to set a custom default landing page for the add‑in. He then explains the installation process, emphasizing that Revit should be closed and that the add‑in can be installed for all users on a shared workstation. After installation, he launches Revit, shows the new Synthesis tab in the Add‑ins ribbon, and highlights that the add‑in automatically logs the user in via single sign‑on and opens to the configured Revit landing page. Inside Revit, he showcases core Synthesis capabilities: browsing company standards, searching container files with AI‑driven suggestions and full AI search, and mentions upcoming integrations with Synthesis LMS and Knowledge Agents. The demo concludes with a call for feedback and a friendly sign‑off.

Hi, this is Chris from Knowledge Architecture. I'm going to introduce you to Synthesis for Revit. I'm in our demo environment of Synthesis and I'm a global administrator. If you're watching this video and you aren't a global administrator, you'll need their help downloading the installer for Synthesis for Revit. Okay, so I'll click on Settings, Integrations, and then click on Synthesis for Revit. As you can see, this is where you download the Synthesis for Revit installer. You can also see that we're supporting Autodesk Revit 2024 and later. So I'm going to go ahead and download that installer. And if you're a global admin who doesn't run Revit, you're just going to have to download it and put it somewhere your IT or design technology team can get to it. The other thing you can do here is you can configure the default landing page for Synthesis for Revit. By default, the add-in will open up to your company's homepage, but I'm going to go ahead and have it open up to our Revit landing page instead.
I'll click save. Great. I'm going to go back to my downloads and install Synthesis for Revit.
I have Revit closed and we recommend installing the add-in with Revit closed. I'll click next. Now I'll call out that this is going to install for all users of the computer. That means if someone else logs in, like it's a shared workstation, that kind of thing, they'll still be able to use Synthesis for Revit.
Okay, that's done. I'm going to go ahead and launch Revit.
I'll click on the Add-ins tab, and you'll see that Synthesis for Revit has been added. And that it's brought over my firm's branding in terms of its icon and its name. I'll click on the add-in and boom, there I am. I've been automatically logged in using single sign-on, and you can see that I open straight to that Revit page we configured in the Synthesis settings. So now I have access to all of Synthesis from inside Revit. I can browse, say, check out different standards, I can search, for example, on container files, and I've got search suggestions as well as the full AI search. And when your firm adopts Synthesis LMS and Synthesis Knowledge Agents, they'll be available in Synthesis for Revit as well. So that's it for our introduction to Synthesis for Revit. Please share your feedback and ideas with us, and happy Reviting.
