Hello. You have to become your own biggest fan. And I don't mean it in a superficial sense of constantly telling yourself that you're amazing. It is much deeper than that. It is a sense of becoming someone who refuses to abandon yourself. There is a strange contradiction in wanting to help everyone around you while constantly neglecting the person living inside your own head. We want to be someone's support system, someone's safe place, someone who gives good advice and helps others see their potential. But how can you become— how can you pour water into someone else's cup when you never learned how to fill your own? If you cannot sit with yourself when you fail, how will you teach someone else that failure does not make them a failure? If you cannot forgive yourself For becoming a different person that you once imagined? How will you give someone else permission to grow? And if you cannot believe that there is something worth protecting in yourself, how will you recognize what is worth protecting in someone else? Your relationship with yourself is the first relationship you ever have, and whether you realize it or not, it follows you into every room. It shapes What you tolerate, what you pursue, what you believe you deserve, and how much of yourself you are willing to give away. Being your own biggest fan does not mean you will always like yourself. There will be many versions of you that you outgrow. There will be decisions you regret, qualities you wish you could change, and days you don't recognize yourself. And you don't recognize a person in the mirror. But self-loyalty means staying. It means looking at yourself at your lowest and saying, I am worth taking care of. Because maybe the end goal isn't to become the person who thinks they're perfect. Maybe it's to become the person who knows that even when they are imperfect, they are still worth believing in. And if you can learn to give yourself That kind of grace, encouragement, and unconditional presence, then what you give to other people becomes different. Become your biggest fan because you should never have to audition for your own acceptance.
