You need 4 inputs before any reorder. Most brands are missing at least 1, some are missing all 4. Input number 1: sell-through rate. How fast are you actually selling? Not how fast you think you're selling, not how fast you sold during that one promo, your real average daily sell-through. Input number 2: lead time. How long from the moment you place a PO to the moment product hits your warehouse. And add a buffer because your supplier's lead time is their best case, not your reality. Input number 3: cash position. Can you actually afford this order right now? Not will revenue cover it eventually. Can you write the check today without killing your cash flow? Input number 4: demand forecast. What is marketing planning? A big promo, a big launch, a quiet month. If you don't know what marketing is doing, you cannot plan inventory, period. All 4 inputs every single time. Miss one and you're guessing. You're just guessing with extra steps. Which input is your weak spot? And be honest, comment down below.
