BFCM Inventory Risk Has Already Shifted

In this segment of her YouTube video, Lara Guevara explains that once a DFCM (Black Friday/Cyber Monday) purchase order moves into production, the primary risk shifts from pricing uncertainty to production quality. She warns that many founders stop monitoring at this point, which is precisely when new risks emerge. Guevara advises founders to request supplier photos or a short video walkthrough around the halfway point of the production run. Detecting a defect early allows for a conversation and corrective action, whereas discovering the same defect at final inspection or at the warehouse can lead to costly, sometimes irreparable problems.
