Lara Guevara explains why packaging choices made by brand teams for unboxing appeal end up costing operations money in freight charges. Now here's the part I find genuinely fascinating about Dimwit and the reason it belongs in an alignment month rather than a logistics month. Think about who actually chose your box. In most brands your size, the box was chosen by whoever was designing the unboxing experience, someone on the brand or marketing side working on how it feels to open, whether the product sits nicely, Whether there's room for tissue in a cart, reasonable and genuinely valuable unboxing matters. And that person has almost certainly never seen a fading voice. So you have a decision made for brand reasons, billed to operations, absorbed by finance, and nobody in that chain has ever sat in a room together about it. That's not incompetence. It's just that nobody's job description says reconcile the aesthetics of the box against the freight cost of the box.
