Cleanest version of this idea I've got, a process is what a skilled person does when the situation comes up. It needs somebody good to be there paying attention, deciding. Cadence is what happens on a schedule whether or not the person is watching. That's the entire difference between owning a job and owning a business, and it shows up in freight before it shows up anywhere else. Designing a cadence is your work. Running it is it.
