What's up, guys? Good morning, T.J. lafaber. And I am one of. I got a lot of hats at first form hq, but my primary job is I am a legionnaire team lead and I'm one of the directors of education. So I got a little day in the life in store for you guys today. So super excited to bring you guys along, show you guys a little bit of family, a little bit of work, and then some fitness, obviously, along the way. So as you can see, first thing here this morning, I get up around 6. I'm not really much of an early riser. You know, again, you see a lot of people do different things, but for me and where my life's at right now, like, this is about where I get up again. It's not about when you get up, it's about, you know, what you get out of the hours. But first thing I do is one, you gotta have your coffee. But before coffee, I do have about 12 to 16 ounces of water without about a palm full of salt. Because much like the same idea of eating breakfast, you know, you haven't eaten for, you know, eight, 10 hours. You haven't really drank anything for that long either. And so I think my body rehydrated, I'll get some sodium in, get some water in, and then I can have my caffeine. But once I got my coffee ready, then I'm gonna have head over the couch and do what I call is like paying myself first. And really the purpose behind that is. And we're gonna get into this throughout the day. But I've struggled mental health, you know, for the majority of my life. And by doing this stuff in the morning, it really helps kind of center me. And you'll get me in a good headspace for the day. But also by doing it first thing in the morning, I can spend the majority of my other day or the rest of my day investing into others. And it's really made a big difference for me because while I've tried different routines, doing different times, this has been the best one for me. Mentally, you know, physically, spiritually, emotionally, all together is getting this stuff, stuff knocked out first thing a day. So let's get started.
First things first, like I said, is I'm going to take time to pay myself first. So I've got a. I got a few different things that I do because you can see there's several different books here. But the first thing I do is in this journal. I've done this for several years, but I'll write Down my I'm in the process of becoming statements just really important for me to really see where I'm going. But remind myself every day and really start my day setting the tone with like, what am I working towards? What am I trying to achieve? You know, where am I trying to take my relationship? Where am I trying to take my career? Where am I trying to take my physical self, my financial life, like all those different things.
All right, guys. So now since I've knocked out my affirmations, my daily stoic, my journaling, my 10 pages, my meditation and my visualization, what I'll do now is I'll put that stuff up and then I'll take about five or 10 minutes to set my power list for the day. Basically. Well, one, my powerless is the same thing every day. But then I'll set my work priority list because I basically got a running sheet of things that I add things to as they come up. And then every morning, I'll take about five to 10 minutes to go to that list and I have it ordered in order to order of priority. So whatever's at the top of that list is going to go at the top of my list for today. And then I kind of list those things out and then at the end of the day to day once those things are checked off or remove them from that list and they'll kind of cycle back through. But it's just really important for me before I kind of set my day in motion, that I've already got the game plan for the day.
You're two folks on the camera. Oh, big yawns.
Now that you know all my personal development's done, I went through, got myself set up for the work day. Got about 30 to 45 minutes here at the house to spend some family time because just because of the way Sydney and I schedules really work together.
Tuesdays and a couple other days a week, she works really late. So we'll actually spend some time together in the morning. Now granted, 30 to 45 minutes isn't a lot, but it's better than nothing. And it's important to me, you know, especially with us getting married next year, that I make sure to spend and invest time into our relationship just like any would I would any other area of my life. So what we'll do on these these mornings, make breakfast. So I'll get that started here and then I'll go wake her up.
If anybody has a better way to get shell out of eggs when they drop in, let.
This is a necessity to get the Day started. Now, I understand I already had coffee this, but I have water too. So like that's why this is okay.
All right guys, we are headed to the best place in the world. The best workplace in the world, that's for damn sure. Headed to hq, gonna kick things off with a little internal education team meeting, then another meeting with my team and then we'll keep rocking and rolling from there. So catch you guys there.
Alright, so obviously like I said earlier at the best workplace in the world, but going ahead inside now because I am, I oversee a lot of the education that happens here internally at hq. And so I got to go meet with the kind of individual department education leaders, get us all on the same page, make sure we're moving in the right direction. And then from there I'll go into a sales meeting for about an hour and then we'll reconvene there. So I will catch you guys later.
Handsome Nick, if you guys want to know how to be more attractive. No, just do whatever this guy does. I mean, look at the hair, the flow. Christie's blessed, bro. You know that I'm the blessed one. Oh yeah, look at there. That's right, that's right. Well, anyways guys, just wrapped up the, the internal education meeting. You know that education is a huge thing about, you know, everything we do here at first form. Obviously the people is what I think really makes first form special. But you know, when it comes down to, you know, why I'm here, why everybody that is here, like our mission, you know, has been always will be to help as many real people get real long term results as possible. And in order to do that, we got to be able to make sure that we're teaching the right things and that we're all on the same page because we got to make sure that, you know, if somebody's in the Transformation app or the first form app and listening to Transformation team, that they're same thing. They're going to hear from me, you know, if they're in the Legionnaire program or if they're talking to customer service, like all the messages are the same. So during that meeting we get all of our education on the same line. And now I'm going to be going into a little bit of a sales meeting with my coaches and do a little bit of education. We'll actually watch some different calls and stuff that they've done, kind of coach each other back and you know, I think it's one of the best things to do really, just to help anybody learn and progress Is like go back and actually watch what you did and audit, you know, what was good, what was bad. How can we get better instead of just continuing to blindly go through the emotions or the motions? So, yeah, about to jump into that. Then after that we'll, we'll get back and it'll be kind of moving forward from there. So I'll catch you guys later. Morning. What's up?
Now that that's finished up, I got about an hour and a half here to really get a lot of my admin stuff out of the way for running my team, running the program as a whole, and some different education stuff. So I'm gonna get to work here for next 90 minutes or so and then it'll be about lunchtime and I guess that's, that'll be the next spot that's gonna be interesting because this next part is gonna be pretty boring. So I'll catch you there.
Well, just finished up last 90 minutes of work or so. Gotta shut my computer around here. Don't trust these people. Okay. There's tends to be a somebody that'll go around the office and change your background to things that you don't. You don't want it to be. So I make sure to close my computer. But anyways, heading to lunch. Spend generally about, I don't know, like 20 or 30 minutes eating lunch. You know, as you guys will see today, like, I don't have like a whole lot of like planned break times, so I really, I extend my lunch out a little bit to kind of be a little bit of break time because like during this time too is really my only opportunity to hang out with any of my friends. And the only friends that I have are friends that work here. But you know, I hang out with some of the guys. Oh, Juice, what's going on? Oh, Samuel. It's a trifle facto. All of you going to eat, bro? Are you going to eat? You got time to eat A got time to eat. Must be nice. Must be nice. It is nice. Yeah, it must be nice. You coming, bro? Got two meals you're eating there? No, one for now and Then one for seven o'clock when I'm still here. I was going to eat with you, but I'm being held hostage. Oh, you staying late now that you're on? Yeah, yeah, that's it. Where's my cheese, bro?
My cheese. That's all right. Anyways, pro tip, okay. When you're heating up meal prepped food, okay. A lot of rice, potatoes, things like that. Get dry. Wet yourself a Paper towel. Okay, Just need a little. I got one. Thank you though. But just take a little bit of water. You don't want to overdo it. Just a little strip of water there. Hold it, Let the water run down. Let the water run down the other side.
Place it there. Put this back on top of there. That way it keeps all the moisture in there and it helps draw some moisture back into the rice. Make your meal prep a little bit more enjoyable. You will generally see throughout today that I will chug like I just chug water so I can drink things like this because I like, I don't know, I'm just not a big, like most of a gallon. Dude, carbonation is the goat. He's very intellectual.
I am not intellectual. I'm attempting to become more intellectual. You don't attempt. You either do or you don't.
Tuesday from Morgan Walmart. You heard it here first. Anyways, just wrapped up lunch, spent some awesome time with the guys, you know, and it's one of those things that I meant I was thinking about this earlier. Like you can only go, you know, you can only go full out for so long, right? Like everybody wants to talk about they work 24 7. Well, hey, here's the deal. It's not possible, right? So that lunchtime for me is a time for me to kind of take a step back, you know, recenter myself, you know, and kind of get re energized, you know, through those interactions to then get back to my desk. And now it's going to kind of be another hour and a half, you know, bout of just dedicated work time, you know. Now again focusing still on some more admin stuff, your emails, your outlines for calls, different things like that, for some education stuff. But after that, that's when we get started into my favorite part of my day. Then I get to start meeting with some people again, having some team calls and really just get everybody moving the right direction. So we're gonna get back at it and I will pick up with you guys later.
All right, guys, so wrapped up that little 90 minute work session and now like I said earlier to my favorite part of the day, which is I start having different meetings and stuff with my, the people that I work with and manage on a daily basis and really just kind of help them continue to progress their career and you know, ultimately help more people, which is, you know, what we're here to do. So gonna do that for the next hour and a half or so and then be right back to the desk and keep rocking and rolling so hope you guys are enjoying it so far. And yeah, that's it for right now.
All right, guys, so just finished up a couple meetings with a few of the coaches I work with every day now. As you can see, haven't had a whole lot of movement so far today. And so obviously I'm going to train later today. But getting movement in every day is something that I prioritize. And so I kind of killed two birds with one stone here. Whenever I'm going to be just on the phone and not like on video or anything like that, I will just get some steps around the building and that way I get, you know, a good 30 to 45 minutes of movement at least a day. And again, it just helps me just feel better, keeps my energy up because we're right around 3:15 or so and generally that's when we can have kind of that, you know, mid afternoon crash. And so by getting up and walk for 30, 45 minutes, I'm ready to rock for the rest of the day.
All right guys, so about 4:30 ish. So generally my workout schedule chances, hey, you know that cheese I was complaining about earlier not having, it's right here, so that's always good to know. But what I'm doing now is getting ready to work out. So my, my workout schedule right now is not super routine outside the fact that I'll make sure that I train probably four or five days a week. But you know, being today that like I wasn't able to, you know, if I didn't see Sydney this morning, I wasn't gonna see Sydney. So make sure stay home, spend time with her and then I'll find a spot in my workday or you know, in the evening to training. So like today I got calls at 6 and 7pm and so I got a block of time here. So coming in around 4:30, my knock out about a 45 minute to hour long traditional program from the app and then we'll get all washed up and ready to get right back to work.
I usually start my workouts with about 10 minutes of just some sort of low intensity cardio when I'm doing traditional training like I am now. So during this time, generally I take it just to kind of clear my head of anything that was going on over the last eight or so hours and understand, you know, remind myself, what am I here to do? What am I here? Why am I here? And I'll just go through, go into the app and look at my workout and start kind of game planning my workout for the day. So as you see, I'll open up the. The first form app here and go to activity. The cool thing is, already got my workout right here in front of me for today, so all I got to do is go line by line on this bad boy track. My weights, we'll be good to go. So next nine minutes or so, just going to be kind of center myself, getting. Getting ready to pay my dues. So here we go.
All right. So you see, I keep a timer running because one of the biggest mistakes that I see people make when they're starting their fitness journey is they don't time their rest. This can help you actually get a better workout, get better results, and then two or three, I guess, technically help you make sure that you have the rest of the time in your life do what you need to. And you're also taking care of yourself. So set a timer, pay attention to your rest, and if you don't know, ask us. We'll let you know how long you should be resting.
The first time I met tj, he got iced on his first interview. Oh, man, this is a story. So when I came in for my first in person interview, my man Aaron Summers, who is now my absolute best friend, he walked in, introduced himself, whatever. He asked me, hey, it's like, hey, man, you want a water? And I'm like, cottonmouth, super dry. Super dry. Like, super nervous. And I'm like, yeah, absolutely. So he came back to me. Okay, imagine this is the spearing off ice, and this is the water. He goes, first test, and he looked at me stone cold in the face, and I'm like, this can't actually be happening. There's actually video of it. But again, I knew about the company. I followed the company. I, like, I understood kind of that they were jokesters. And so I went with it, and I grabbed the Smirnoff ice and I chugged it and I downed it. And I did my first interview with a little bit of a buzz. Not proud to say that a single smearing off ice gave me a buzz, but it did. And I guess this is where they say the rest is history. So.
Hey, now.
If you can't set it down right, you ain't strong enough to lift it. What happened? You slammed the out of it. Did I? Everybody turned him once. That was. That's a gym rule, okay? If you're not strong enough to set it down the right way, you ain't strong enough to lift it. Don't lift with your ego. Take my poster right here. So wrapping the workout up. So a couple things. You know, this is one thing that I really try to prioritize. After every single one of like any of my more intense sessions or resistance training sessions is a post workout recovery drink. Primarily because, like in the gym, you know, contrary to popular belief, like you're not necessarily building muscle in the gym, you're breaking it down, which is a good thing, right? As long as, you know, as long as you're giving your body what it needs to repair itself. And so, you know, will your body not repair itself if you don't use the post radio cover drink? No, but if you can get, get it the nutrients it needs faster, okay, then it sets it up to, you know, just recover in a more optimal state. So what I got here is Formula one, which is a low temperature processed, hydrolyzed whey protein isolate, which all of that means it's a very high quality, rapid assimilating or digesting protein. And then I've got ignition over here, which is a pure dex and hydrous glucose with an added multivitamin. And again, all that means a very simple carbohydrate. And again, the main idea behind both of these is one, they're very high quality so my body will actually get to use the nutrients from them. But two, two, it's the speed at which it happens because again, if I get these nutrients in right when I'm done working out, it means I can spend more of my time outside the gym recovering versus, you know, not giving my body what it needs. It could delay, you know, just your overall recovery and your overall results. So if I got getting this in, one, it tastes amazing, but two, feel less sore, you know, I'm able to recover better so I can train harder. And then that accumulated over time doing, combined with like tracking my macros and all that stuff just sets me up to get the, the results. I'm after.
My workout ran a little bit longer than I would like to, so I don't have the time to shower and change. So I'm going with the old classic zoom, you know, casual down bottom, professional up top. But like, hey, the camera cuts off right here. So I look like I'm completely dressed up professional for today. But obviously ideally I would have liked to change, but it is what it is and jobs got to get done. So super excited for the next couple calls I got.
All right, guys, so just finished up a couple hours of calls and Even though it's 8 o' clock at night, I'm like gassed up because those are my Favorite part of my day. But either way what I'm gonna do now is I'm just kind of getting all my stuff cleaned up here and then really what I'll do is I'll take about 10 or 15 minutes, get back to my desk kind of recenter, you know, and look at okay, what's everything that I had on my list at the start of the day, you know, what have I gotten done and then what still needs to be done. And so once I have that done then we'll leave HQ and kind of get on the rest of the night because I got some, some honeydew list items that I need to get to. So we'll, we'll see how quickly we can get this done and hopefully get to bed at a decent time, but we'll see. So got a little re centered for the rest of the night just because one of the things, things that like for me at the end of the day, you know, there's some things I just don't have done yet. But for me like I always try to be proactive with like what I'm gonna do next so I don't have to think about like I can just execute once I get there. So whenever I finish up my workday before I head home, I just kind of get back to my desk, I look at, you know, what's been done already, what still needs to be done. So that way I can kind of game plan for the rest of the evening so I can be as productive as possible. So got some work things to finish up here later. But what's on the agenda right now is, you know, Sydney works, my fiance works very late. She is a manager of retail store and so she actually works till 11 o' clock tonight. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to go to the grocery store, I'm going to cook her a meal so that whenever she gets home she has some food and she can go straight to bed and she doesn't have to worry about cooking. So about to go head to the grocery store, grab some groceries. I'm going to make, make my quick quesadillas and then, then after that done I'll get back to just getting back to work and kind of unwinding for the evening. So let's get it.
Alright guys, so now we're at Schnook's, running into the grocery store. I'm in here for my quesadilla stuff so I actually show you guys actually a really quick and easy recipe but I'm Going to make enough so that Sydney has something to eat when she gets home, but also has some stuff for lunch at work tomorrow. So that's what we're doing. And, you know, got to taking care of myself all day and other people. I got to take care of my number one here, so. All right, so first up, obviously got to get our protein. So I'm going to make a little bit of a mix of chicken fajitas and steak fajitas. So since it's late, obviously I don't want to go through the whole thing of having to, you know, cook and do all things. So what I'll do is I'll come over here and most grocery stores have these, but they just have, you know, little individual already seasoned, already cooked, and already cut up into little fajita strips there. So it makes the whole process easy that I don't have to actually cook the meat first. I just throw a tortilla and go from there. It's super simple. It's super good off brand. Save you some money. It's the same stuff. Okay.
Good thing is Sydney will have already eaten these by the time she sees this video, so she won't know the difference. Love you.
All right, guys, so just finished up cooking the quesadilla. Will let those cool off before I kind of chop them up and get them ready for Sydney to get home to eat them. So kind of next thing here is one like, I'll. I need to eat, however, like I talked to you guys about earlier, like, I pre track all my food, so these were not in my macros for the day, so I will actually have a meal prep meal. And after that I'll shower and then I'll get kind of back into work mode to kind of tie up any loose ends that I have for the day. And then it'll be probably close to time to get ready for Sydney to come home and then kind of get into my night routine and go to bed. So I'm gonna get that stuff done, get eat, get showered up, and then we'll. We'll get back to it for the next hour, hour and a half. I'll really just tie up a lot of, you know, odds and ends and things from the day. So some days that's 20 minutes. Some days that's gonna be an hour and a half. Today it's gonna be a little bit lengthier than normal, but it's that it's not that big a deal. With Sydney not getting off to 11, I stay up every when she works late I stay up just kidding because, like, I just want to see how our day went, see if there's anything I can do for her. And then we're going to bed. But so I'm gonna flip on probably some golf highlights here because I absolutely love golf. Or like an Old Masters rerun, just kind of some background noise. I'll finish up some work and then around 11 o' clock or so, when it's about time for Sydney to be getting home soon, I'll kind of start my nightly routine and start getting ready for bed. So here we go.
Finished up with work for now. And I kind of got all the odds or loose ends tied up. So we're approaching 11, so it'll be time for Sydney to get home here soon. And while I do stay up, you know, because again, I just want to make sure that she's good. She needs to talk. We'll talk forever long. She needs to talk, whatever it is. I just. And I'm already not around a whole lot, so when I do have those opportunities, like, I want to make sure she knows I'm. I'm in her corner at all times. So. But since she'll probably be on the next 15, 20 minutes, I'll start my nightly routine. So first thing I'll do is I'll come back from the kitchen and I kind of hit my whole nightly stack. And again, this is not at most ideal time to take them. There's not a reason that I take them at this time other than that this is what works for me and this is what I can remember to take it. So I will go through. And it's a lot because most people probably space this throughout the day. But like, my supplements are kind of treated like my water. I will hammer all my water as fast as I can so that I can like drink a diet soda or an energy drink. And these, I just kind of do it all at once. And so what I'll do is I'll have my OptiGreens 50, then I'll have my Opti Reds 50. I'll throw my powdered microfactor in there. Then I have some magnesium and some creatine. And then I will also, as long as I have it, which I do believe I do, hopefully I do. Then I have. I thought I was almost out, but then I'll add some liposomal vitamin D3 into that. And if for whatever reason that day I am short on protein, I'll throw some protein into that shake as well. So it is a pretty hefty shake. But it's what works for me, and it allows me to stay consistent. So I'm gonna get the. Get this down now.
All right, so now that is done. Really, you know, one of the last things that I will do is, man, I cannot overstate how much this has really impacted my life.
But I do what I call a mind dump journal at the end of the day. And so, you know, before I'm getting ready to go to bed, what I'll do is I will just sit down and whatever I'm thinking at the current moment, whatever I'm feeling at the current moment, really anything that comes to mind, I'll start writing about and I'll set a timer and I'll hold myself accountable to writing for at least 10 minutes in this journal.
Game changer for me in allowing me to start looking at the problems that I was facing as opportunities, not obstacles. Because by putting them down on paper, I could learn from them. So that's gonna be it for me today, guys. So I just wanted to say, you know, if you've made it this far in the video, you know, thank you so much for, you know, know, taking the time, because honestly, I'm humbled that you would make this far in the video just to watch what a normal day in the life is for me. But I really hope, you know, just throughout the day, you know, understanding a few things, like, your day doesn't have to look like mine, right? But if there's anything that you pull away from, from my day or just kind of how things went, is I would encourage you to really sit down and think about, like, what are the most important aspects of your life, Right? Where do you want those to be? Okay. Be proactive in reverse engineering a game plan on how do you get yourself there through daily habits, and be just, again, like, be proactive. Right? That was. That's one of the biggest things that I try to do is I never try to not know what's up next, right? I'm always planning, okay, we're gonna do this, this, this, this, okay? Because that way, when it comes time to do whatever it is, like, I don't have to sit there and think about it. I could just execute. So anyways, I really, I greatly appreciate you guys. I'm humbled to get the opportunity to do this. If you guys have any questions, obviously drop them in the comments below or, you know, reach out to me on ig, email, whatever it is. But I appreciate you guys. I love you guys, and I hope you have a great rest of your day.
Sam.
