Interview with Athlete Toni Livers | The Post Workout

A YouTube interview from The Post Workout (host Josh) with athlete Toni Livers. Toni, born and raised in Cologne, Germany, discusses her many tattoos (about 33), affiliation with supplement brand FirstForm (joined as a legionnaire in March 2020; named an elite athlete in January 2021), and living with vitiligo — highlighting how fitness improved her confidence and serves as representation for others with the condition. The interview also contains light cultural banter (German phrases), casual car banter (manual GTI, burning clutch), and post-workout favorites (chocolate mint cookie).

Yeah, you can drive it.
Burning clutch in here.
God, that smells bad.
Yeah, it does.
All right, welcome back for another edition of the Post Workout. I am Josh, and I'm joined today by first, former lead athlete Tony Livers.
All right, guys.
Yeah. Now, you are from Germany, of German descent. Did you. Were you born there?
Yep. Born and raised in Cologne.
And where?
Cologne.
Cologne, cool. I have some cologne on today. When people think of Germany, there's one big thing that they're known for most in their history.
What do you think that is?
They're amazing food.
Yeah. Probably not. Probably second world war, but I would much rather talk about the food.
Yeah, I was thinking Oktoberfest. You know, we love beer. So I know you can't tell right now, but you do have a lot of tattoos.
Yeah.
Big tat fanatic. How many tattoos do you have?
I honestly don't know. I have lost count. Yeah. On the left arm, full sleeve. My right arm, almost a full sleeve, half sleeve sleeve. On my leg, I have one on my back, one on my foot, on my ankle. Kind of like started my leg out.
Heard that.
Probably like 33.
How many tattoos do you think I have?
One. A small one.
I have zero. Do you think less of me because of that?
A little, yeah.
That's bad. How much money would it take for you to get a tattoo of me on your body?
Well, if it was of somebody else, I might consider it, but I'm not sure if I would, you know, especially when we're talking about the profile. We would also get your hair.
And you don't like my haircut either?
No.
What? Why?
Who does?
Everyone. Me. Sal likes me. Sal, do you like my haircut? Boom.
That's the president of the company. That's one person.
That's a big person. He's the whole person of the whole of the whole kit. Gaboodle, teach me something in German. Let's talk some German terms. I want to. How do I say let's. How about this? Hello. Hello, sir. You have a beautiful squat.
A beautiful what?
Squat.
Squat.
Squat. Squat, Squat.
Okay. Okay. Hello. De hair.
Hello.
De hair. Yeah.
What does that mean? Hello there.
Yeah. De hair is, sir. Oh, to a man. Sir. Hello there. Here. Du hast.
Du hast. Yeah.
Okay. Ramstein garden. Du hast me.
Hell, yeah. All right, Tony, tell me your start on how you became affiliated with FirstForm or why you got interested in the brand.
I got affiliated with FirstForm in March 2020, so right before COVID hit and that's when I started as a legionnaire. I was. Or we were. Hi.
Oh, hello. Welcome to the post workout, Gary.
Then I started with the legionnaire program. We were invited to come out here in September 2020. I was interviewed, and then I just kept working with the company. I was working my ass off.
Yeah.
And then I was announced elite athlete in January 2021. So that's.
Wow. So that happened pretty fast.
Yeah.
Yeah. And now you're kind of like that inspiration for probably a shitload of people that.
Yeah, I'm especially an inspiration for people that have the same skin condition. It's called vitiligo. So my skin just loses melanin in certain spots and it starts growing, it stops, and it starts again. But overall, it's spreading more and more. I think they very much appreciate that. I just show myself working out, like in a sports bra, just showing off my skin skin and not hiding it.
But I feel like that's like your signature. Like, that's kind of a set of the brand that makes you unique.
Like, I cannot relate to being obese, overweight, anything like that. But I can relate to feeling uncomfortable, going in open spaces and feeling like people are watching you. So I got more confident in myself with working out, and I feel like that translates to anyone. Like, you can be obese, you can have some type of condition or you're disabled in a certain way. But if you're getting physically fit, your mental health is going to fall.
Follow along helps everything. Well, this is called the post workout. What's your favorite post workout?
Chocolate mint cookie.
Chocolate mint cookie.
Yeah.
Tried and true. How would you say chocolate mint cookie in German?
Chocolate, chocolate mint meat.
Peppermints cakes.
Chocolata ouda. Peppermint cake.
Okay. Chocolata, peppermints cakes.
Chocolata peppermint cake.
Kicks.
Kicks.
All right.
Do you have any questions for me?
How did you get to the haircut?
I just think a mullet is probably most elite haircut. I mean, I love the fucking party. I just think it's America most dominant alpha haircut that a male can have.
Okay, what car are you driving?
A Volkswagen?
Yes. Man, you're so fucking American. I love it.
For real, though, I have a gti.
Are you the one with the GTI outside? Is it manual?
Yes.
Can I drive it?
Yes. Yeah, you can drive it. Well, this has been the post workout with Tony Livers.
Guys, make sure you turn on your notifications like and subscribe. The post workout.
Like and subscribe. Let me go whip it.
I'm super ready all right, let's go. I'm gonna smoke it.
Gotta let her eat.
Let her eat.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah. Let her fucking just grind out my clutch.
Your clutch is stuck.
It smells so good. It smells like a burning clutch in here.
God, that smells bad.
Yeah.
Yeah, it does.
